Boardwalk Entertainment

We will be at WDW this Thursday thru Sunday and my DW remembers seeing there is some kind of entertainment on the Boardwalk, not in the clubs, Thursday nights with music, karaoke, or something. Can you tell me what might be going on along the boardwalk Thursday nights? We will be at MGM Fantasmic until about 8:15, or whenever it gets over. Would you take the bus or just walk over? There will be nine of us and I'm not sure they will buy off on walking. Also, how do I get six of us back to OKW and three to POR? I see either bus to DTD and then to our respective Resorts or I will go from MGM to OKW for the van and then make two trips to get everyone home. I hope this is my hardest problem for our trip, looks like the weather will be perfect for us. Thanks.

IMO - take the boat from MGM to BW. It may not be the quickest, but it is nice and relaxing. If you are in a hurry - you can always get off at the Swan (1st stop) and walk over the bridge to the BW. Or just stay on the boat and it will take you right to the BW's dock.

To get back to your resorts - I would suggest taxis. It may cost about $10 a car, but by that point of the evening I wouldn't want to deal with the bus and the roundabout routes you would need to take.

I am not sure about entertainment schedules. You could check the WDW/Resorts website for that.

We have never been able to get any 'scheulde' of Boardwalk entertainment - the answer is generally "They come out from time to time) - which they do.

There are games on the BW as well, face painting, bicycle rentals, etc. - it's a lot of fun for a night.

I agree, take a taxi back to your respective resorts. The bus system at BW is extremely slow and the amount of buses is relatively low. It will be worth the $10 per taxi to get back to your room in a reasonable amount of time (it took me over an hour to get back to PO when I waited for a bus). My DH and I have made a habit of using taxis home from BW and DTD.
