Hi, Does anyone have a good recommendation for a dinner at the Boardwalk? Any reviews would be helpful too.

Thanks :)

My family enjoyed eating at ESPN in October. If you have sports fans in your family, they will like all the TV's playing different games all over the place...If you get a booth, you can play video games right at the table.

The food was standard sports bar fare but it was pretty good. We found the portions were really big but I was able to substitute fresh fruite as a side (instead of fries) which made my meal size just right.

When we went in, they had a live radio broadcast going on on one side which would have been fun had it just been DH and I. With the kids, we chose the booth. We had a great server who made it fun for us. Our kids are 5 and 7.

We will return on our next trip.

Hope this helps...

My husband liked the Flying Fish. He ate there one day when he didn't go to the park with me and our son. He had some potato wrapped fish that he thought was heavenly.

We eat at Spoodles every single trip, sometimes twice. Flying Fish is very good, too.

You can use search and find some detailed reviews. :)

Spoodles. I wrote one earlier.

Since there were many things that looked good, we ate family style. We got 2 orders of the shrimp appetizer. The Portion was quite small but it was delicious. We got 1 of the flat bread Pizza's that the kid hated but the adults liked. We also got mediterranean dips which were really great. The portion size on the pizza and the dips were good sized.

For our entrees, the kid got the child's steak which was delicious. I got the steak which was cooked just to order at medium rare. I also got the add on shrimp and scallops with it. The scallops were just right. Perfectly done.
We also got Seafood Stew. It is spicy, but not overly so unless you're sensitive to it. It was delicious. We also got the rigatoni which was oh so good.
The deserts were wonderful too. If you want a quiet dinner, this isn't it. It's rather noisy in the background but not overly so. The service was excellent. The Gnocci could be had at the time I went even though it wasn't on the regular menu by asking for the vegetarian selections. All in all, it was neck a neck between Spoodles and the California Grill as the best meal of fthe trip for us. Also try the Sangria. Yummm. This is one of the places we will probably make special arrangements to go back to again and again.
This place can get very busy so do make ADR's.

The Clam Bake Dinner at the Cape May Cafe (Beach Club) is very popular. Great assortment of both seafood and non-seafood dishes, along with salads and desserts. It's always a MUST for us every trip.

From the Boardwalk, you can get to the Y&BC and the S&D easily. You can also walk into Epcot easily. So don't feel to limited by your location. I haven't been to all (or even most) of these restaurants, and I may be forgetting a few:

BW:

Spoodles - Mediterrian family restaurant. Moderately priced. Food has been uneven. Good breakfast.

Flying Fish - Expensive. Generally very good food and service. The potato encrusted snapper mentioned about is heavenly.

ESPN Sports Bar - What it sounds like. We can smell the smoke walking by this place, so we've never been closer than the front door, but others say they don't notice it. (We are usually there over the World Series playoffs, which may change the composition of the clientele).

Big River Brewing Company - Not Disney owned and doesn't tend to get great reviews, but its a brew pub.

Boardwalk Bakery - counter service. Desserts, breakfast pastries and a few sandwiches

Spoodles Pizza Window - Counter service pizza. Eat on the Boardwalk at tables and try and keep the birds away.

Y&BC:

Cape May - Seafood buffet in the evening, character breakfast in the morning

Yachtsman steak house - Expensive. Supposed to have a good steak

Beaches and Cream - burgers and malts in a 1950s style malt shop. Doesn't take PSs, so its often very crowded.

Swan and Dolphin:

Fresh - an innovative fresh buffet which is supposed to be quite good

Blue Zoo - an expensive Todd English restaurant. As I recall, no kids menu.

Shulas - steak, elegant football theme (?!), steak. If this isn't the best steak on property, its one of the most expensive - and a lot of people do think its the best. As I recall, no kids menu

Tubbies Buffeteria - Cafeteria restaurant

There is also a sushi karoke place over here (Kimonos) and a few hotel style restaurants.

Spoodles...definitely!

Here is my review from September....we can't wait to go back in April:

Spoodles - Boardwalk - DINNER ***** (5 Stars)
WOW...just WOW! So far, the BEST meal we have had....in presentation, taste of food, and friendliness of wait staff and Chef (yes, I said Chef).

The Chef came out and went around talking to people. He sat down at our table and got our son to eat more of his dinner! He chatted with us for a little while. He did the same with many others as well. I was VERY impressed with this.

Our Waitress was friendly and helpful as well and she got an extra special tip because of her fantastic service.

Myself: Shrimp Appetizer, Fettuchini with add-on Scallops (they let us do the add-ons with the meal plan with no additional charge), Excellent....the Shrimp was to die for...only 4 shrimp, but they were HUGE, and the Fettuchini/Scallops were fantastic. WAY too Much food, though...had to leave about 1/4 of my plate.

Wife: Shrimp Appetizer, Seafood Stew (Paella) - She LOVED it. She said that it was by far, her favorite meal of the week so far (and favorite dining out meal for at least the past year or so).

Kids: Mickey Mouse Mac and Cheese.....they both ate a good amount and liked it.

Desserts:

We wanted the Sampler to share with the family like we did at Italy, but they said that it wasn't included in the plan :(

We both ended up with the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee......mmmmmm . LOVED it! I ended up pairing it up with the recommended Grand Manier
