Boardwalk BWI Room/views

Hey There Experts...

Okay, so I'm heading to BWI for my honeymoon next year and am trying to decide if I should upgrade to a Water view or stick with standard (there are no longer "garden" views").

I don't care if we are look at the lake but I don't want to face the convention center roof either.

Where do the standard rooms face?

Is it worth the additional 600 bucks for the Water view?

Some of the standard views face the entrance and driveway. Others face the gardens and quiet pool, some of those also have a partial Epcot view. I would put in a request for a garden/Epcot view. I made the mistake of not making any requests last December and we ended up facing the walkway to the bus stop.

Standard view in the courtyard building are nice.

We just stayed there with a standard room reservation. I requested an upper floor courtyard view on my reservation and ended up with a delightful room on the 5th floor looking over the Garden suites with a view of the top of World Showcase. -HM

$600 for how many nights? Normally WV is $70 more p/night. Is it worth it??? This is something only you can answer. Our last 2 visits to BWI were WV, also our trip in Nov will be WV. To me it's worth it, to many others it's not. We love the WV at BWI, especially rooms above the boards.

Perhaps if the view (GV) you want is not available when you check-in you can upgrade to a WV at that time. Maybe discounts will be announced for the time you're going next year and WV will be cheaper than what you've been quoted for GV.
