Boardwalk Bride's PJ Morocco/Canada/Attic/SCP updates 01/09!!

I love the wine idea. What a beautiful way to celebrate every year and it sounds like it is so representative of you! Beautiful. :wizard:

Today is the day I am supposed to be able to book! However, apparently it could take up to 48 hours to hear anything back. I feel so frustrated! I have been waiting MONTHS for this, and I feel like I am just sitting here staring at my inbox. The worst part is, the job I am doing right now gave me a deadline on when they want a first draft of the report I am working on done (which is tomorrow) so I am having so much trouble focusing!!

I was told there may be a chance I hear this afternoon, so I am hoping I will!

WE GOT OUR DATE!!!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I am soooo excited, I feel like I have been waiting forever, and now it is OFFICIAL!! I AM GETTING MARRIED AT DISNEY. This calls for some of the wine we bought yesterday :rotfl:

Thanks everyone! I can't wipe the smile off my face, it just actually feels so real now!

I found the cutest cupcakes the other day. I don't think I will use them for anything, but thought I would post them just because they are brilliant!

They are cupcakes with crushed mini marshmallows and sprayed with yellow food colouring. I think they are so adorable. I might find a way to use them at home somehow :goodvibes

Yay! Congrats Date Twin! :banana::banana: The waiting was definitely stressful, but isn't it such a great feeling to get your date?

And just to celebrate some more...
:dance3::dance3::dance3:

I love those cupcakes, they are adorable! And probably so delicious! Yum!

Congrats on getting your date!! Let me pull out some of my patented got the date bananas!! :goodvibes

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Thanks everyone, and thanks for the dancing bananas!! :goodvibes

Apparently it will take about 2 weeks for the LOA to come, which is fine, since we still haven't opened a US bank account, so it gives us time to do it.

Okay, so I am a HUGE procrastinator when it comes to anything in life. It is okay, since my best work is done last minute anyway, lol. Anyway, I was searching for carnival/circus themes, and I came across an old disboards one. It was someone who used the wonder's of life pavilion, and now I want it!!

What do you ladies think? I mean, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Attic, and I think it is soooo us, but I am really getting into the theme now, and the Wonder's of Life clearly suits it. Oh, so many decisions! :confused3

I also made a new inspiration board, that combines the carnival theme with my colours. It is pretty much a mix of my first candyland inspiration board, and my colour inspiration board. :rotfl: But pictures are pretty, so here ya go:

I am working on narrowing down choices for centerpeices, flowers and also for carnival foods to add. I will post them later when I have more time to combine them all!

WOW I missed alot! First off congrats on getting your date:banana::banana: I think your crinnie turned out great and I do like it with the watermelon shoes as well! The cupcakes are too cute and I love all your centerpiece ideas... with your theme there are soooo many fun options! The wonders of life pavillion does look pretty awesome but I would find out the details of it (is it still an option? minimums? etc) before you go changing plans from the Attic. Good luck... let us know what you find out!

Thanks :goodvibes The Wonders of Life Pavillion does have a minimum ($1000) and a venue fee ($500), which makes it more than the Attic since there is a venue fee. It would also mean I would need to hire transportation to get us there, which I wouldn't need any extra for the Attic. I think we will stick with the Attic in the end, but the Wonder's of Life Pavillion does look fantastic, doesn't it?

The Wonders of Life building looks great (I didn't even know you could use that). Not so sure about the minimums - and if the Attic would be less expensive I would still go with that. It is a wonderful location and I love that it has the outside balcony that you can use also. We used ADH and the outside balcony was a great place for some wonderful shots.

Love those popcorn cupcakes and everything else you have listed. Looking forward to reading more.

I totally agree with the balcony comment! One of our favourite moments is sitting on a balcony drinking wine, and I think it will give me that same feeling. Plus, the view is incredible (and it will save $$)

I LOVE those cupcakes! they're adorable and perfect for your theme!!

Thanks! Not sure where or if I can use them, but they look really easy to make so I will keep them in mind!

I have booked to more vendors! I decided to book Patricia instead of Beaute Speciale. It was a hard decision, but I am happy in the end. I booked hair, makeup for myself, and hair for my 3 bm's plus 1 other friend.

We also booked our officiant Ron Rosenzweig. He was quick to answer email, and is not religious, so that was a deal maker! He is going to incorporate the wine ceremony for us as well. I actually have to credit MainStMandy for this, since I took most of it from the Wine and love letter thread she started, so thanks!!!! Here it is:

"Bride & Groom, I have asked you as a couple, to find a strong wooden box that will hold a bottle of wine. In addition, I have asked each of you to write a letter to one another, expressing your thoughts about the good qualities that you have found in your future partner, as well as, your reasons for falling in love with each other. I requested that under no condition were you to read each other’s letter, and that you were to seal them in individual envelopes and put them in the box with the bottle of wine.”

"Bride & Groom, this box is not to be opened again until your 1st wedding
anniversary. Your gift to each other will be a reminder of the reasons that you fell in love with each other in the first place. It will give you an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the many ways that you have enriched each other’s lives, and remind you how blessed you have been to have shared this journey. I will ask you to repeat this on each anniversary as a sign of your love and commitment to each other.

And one more update!

For those who have been reading along, you probably remember we have been struggling with the while at home reception. It's not that we don't want one, we just don't want the traditional first dance, head table, speeches, saturday night dance party style reception (hence why we are getting married in disney). So anyway I called the place that we have a deposit down, and was telling them about how this isn't what we really want, blah blah, and they said they actually have many other options available. YAY!!! So we are going to drive to London in a couple weeks, before school starts back up, to have a meeting with the wedding coordinator. (I'll make sure to take tons of pics!!).

I think we are thinking of something more sunday afternoon-ish, and cocktail style, and we can try and do carnival like food! Hopefully it will all work out. I'm coming up with a list of that type of food to bring with me, I'll post them later when I' done!
