I read someplace that BB also sold things like breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Is this true? Has anyone tried them? Looking for alternative breakfast ideas for our upcoming May trip. We have very few hours to spend at WDW this year and don't want to spend too much time in the rest. or cooking but, my husband won't go for a bowl of cereal or a muffun!!!

They definitely do offer breakfast sandwiches and such, but we have not tried them. They also have lots of breakfast pastries, muffins, bagels, etc. The lines can get pretty long at breakfast so plan accordingly.

You might consider Tubbi's Buffeteria over at the Dolphin - just a short walk from the BWV. It's a cross between a cafeteria and a food court, is open 24 hours/day and has some hot breakfast items your DH might enjoy. I know it has Krispy Creme doughnuts and serves Starbucks coffee if those appeal to you. Also, DVC members currently get a 20% discount there.

My DH loves the breakfast burrito. We love the BW Bakery as he gets his eggs for breakfast and I get to satisfy my sweet tooth.

The breakfast sandwiches at BW bakery are expensive but quite good. However my absolute favorite breakfast food at BW bakery is the "cinnamon yummy"! We absolutely love these things!!

We have had breakfast there several times but not had any of the hot breakfast stuff. The pastries and muffins are very good. A bit on the expensive side. FYI it gets pretty busy at breakfast time, the line has been out the door every time we've gone.

We've had just about everything on the menu at BB. It's all very good. As for being pricey, what isn't in Wdw? In comparison, it's actually the cheapest breakfast you can have besides going to McDonalds.

When we stay at the Boardwalk I am always the first one up an go down to the Bakery to refill the coffee mugs for everyone. I usuall wind up bring back a lot of other stuff. If you eat on the boardwalk, guard your food. The birds like the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast too.

Agree with CarolMN -- Tubbi's is definitely worth checking out. Hot items, cereal, yogurt, pastries.... prices are better than in the restaurants and you get a discount. There's a menu available at the allearsnet.com website. We didn't go there for breakfast, but did pick up a light lunch several times ..

RE: Line out the door - that isn't hard as the bakery only fits about six people! It isn't as scary as it sounds.

Princess Tink,

We love to have breakfast at the Belle Vue Room in the BW, although last time we stayed there it wasn't open. It is a sitting room on the Inn side of the resort where a CM set's up behind the bar. It is continental style - They have pastries, muffins, cereal, etc and you can go out and sit on the terrace and people watch.
I hope they haven't closed it. We haven't been there since 2002.

If you get there early enough in the morning, the lines shouldn't be that bad. I used to get there around 7:30.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I have printed several of the menus off Deb's website, and let my DH take a look. I will share everything with him, then let him make a decision from there. This is the only one though! ;)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Tubbi'ssssssssss

mmmmmmmmmmmmm Krispy Kreme....................

We have to vote for the breakfast burritos here! While some of the other things can be a little pricey, the breakfast burritos are really big and I think a pretty good value for $3.99 (well, a good value for vacation prices!)

I love the Boardwalk but we only use the bakery for coffee/tea refills, etc. We find the pastries average at best. Then again, I come from Brooklyn where bakeries serve some of the finest baked goods ever so maybe I'm on the particular side. : )

I have tried several things from the BWB and never once have thought, "Wow that was good...have to have that again." I'd prefer to have a box of Entenmann's donuts to be quite honest.
