Boardwalk and epcot fireworks

We plan on going over to the boardwalk after our dinner on our first night. We have never been to the boardwalk. How well can you see Illuminations from there. We are eating at WCC, so thought we would just take a bus to the boardwalk from there. Is that possible. WE are staying at ASMu Suites, so thought we would take a bus to MK, then the boat to WCC. Does that sound like the best way.

In order to get to Boardwalk from WCC, you will have to go to MK, and then get a bus to Boardwalk. Or, take the DHS bus and walk to BW. While at BW, you will be able to see the higher up fireworks of IllumiNations. A lot of people head over to the bridge area, between BW and BC to watch, but again, only the higher fireworks are visable. Then, to get back to your resort, you will have to take a bus, from BW, to either an open park, or to DTD, then transfer to ASMu from there. Or, take a cab.

Illuminations is a show that take place on the water, you will be able to see some of the fireworks but not many. This is nothing like Wishes. This is a completely different type of show.

If cabs are an option for you, I'd just take a cab from WL to the BWI and a cab from BWI to your resort when you're finished.

You will honestly see nothing from the Boardwalk. Take the 5 min walk through the International Gateway at Epcot and you are right there. Get a glass of Champagne in France and life is good.
