Hi All,
it has been several years since we did our last Disney Cruise and was wondering if anyone knew how many boarding groups there are for the Disney Wonder?
We are on the transition cruise from Hawaii to Sydney next month and got PAT 12:45-1:00 and Boarding Group 14. So just wondering if we will be waiting in the terminal for a bit from PAT to boarding.

Plus any tips/advice for the boarding process would be greatly appreciated😁

Typically boarding begins around 11:30/11:45-ish and open boarding is called around 12:45. That arrival time is usually a sweet spot to avoid much waiting in the terminal, possibly walk-on after check-in. Now I can’t say specifically for that port being a special cruise, but barring anything unusual I think you have a great PAT and will be onboard shortly if you arrive then.

Do you have any pointers. It has been a while so I know people may carry on a bathing suit to take a dip in the pool but is there anything else we ”Should” carry on or is it best to check everything so we are not dragging around a roller. Of course we will be carrying on all of our documents and ID’s etc.

I always put medications and anything of significant value (laptop, etc.) in a carry-on. A change of clothes for dinner is recommended just in case your bags are delayed getting to you, especially if you have early dinner.

Beverages must also be carried on.

I always carry on any electronics (like my e-reader/tablet/etc.), as I don't feel comfortable with those getting tossed around in a suitcase. I also carry on charging cords with me, just in case. If you plan to take a dip in the pool, don't forget to also carry on sunscreen (I've made that mistake, remembered to carry on my swimsuit but then put the sunscreen in my checked bag, lol)!

Carry on anything you would be devastated if it got dropped in the water. Although extremely rare, suitcases have been dropped in the water when being loaded onto a ship.

The other thing I'd say is a pointer is the terminal in Honolulu is a warehouse. There is nothing to do, nothing to see, and it's not exactly an exciting place to hang out on some folding chairs while you wait, so be prepared with something to entertain you - or be ready to people watch. There are not even windows to look out of if memory serves me correctly. With your PAT I'd suspect you'll have minimal to no wait to board, but you never know, the ship and crew can always get behind and they can have to hold passengers for boarding. I've seen that happen.

In recent cruises they've had crew in the lobby try to hard sell me on going to their recommended specific lunch location as soon as I board. You don't have to, and it's not required to go to their suggested location. There are 3 lunch options, a sit down, Cabanas buffet, or the pool deck. You can even just walk around the public areas.
