Board Walk Refurb Still going On?

Guests visiting Epcot are encouraged to utilize the Epcot Guest Parking Lot.
So does that mean that the management at the Boardwalk condones non resort guests parking in their lot and then going to Epcot?
They actually want their paying guests to shell out another $25 a day + tip to valet park because all the spots are taken up by people who shouldn't be there
in the first place. Unbelievable!!

No, when management says, 'Guests visiting Epcot are encouraged to utilize the Epcot Guest Parking Lot.' they mean, Epcot attendees should park in the Epcot lot, at least that's how I interpret that sentence. As a Board Walk resident 6 or 7 times for from 8 to 10 nights each I've never failed to get a spot in the BW lot. Just to get past the gate you need a MB or a live room card key or... you need to BS your way past the guard. If the lot is anywhere near full you'll be turned away.

No I don't think so. Guests who stay at the BW walk or take the boat to the International Gateway. I have never of anyone staying at the BW who drives to Epcot. It wouldn't make any sense. The memo should read "parking for resort guests only. If you are not a registered guest at BWI/BWV and want to go to Epcot you need to park in the Epcot parking lot".
And my point is if the lot is full it is taken up my many non resort guests. I have seen the lot full or nearly full in the afternoon - go out at night after Epcot closes and the lot is half empty. This isn't only my opinion, they have been hundreds of posts on these boards of people complaining about the parking at the BW. You may have always been lucky, but a lot of guests haven't been.

In all fairness I have to say we don't go out much in the car. We drive to AK, Raglan Road and Goodings, that's about it. We're there during busy times too, Spring Break time in March and the heart of Food & Wine in Oct. Never got turned away. in fact about 5 yrs ago our nephew, his wife and toddler met us for dinner at the ESPN Club and they were allow to park in the main BW lot. I understand there's an auxiliary lot across the street but I've never been in it.
