I thought once upon a time I saw either a board or a post that included people giving up their FP+ times, does it exist somewhere, or am I imagining things? I want to keep an eye out for certain FP's and ADR's.

The Dinng Reservation Cancelations are found on the Disney Dining Reservation subforum of The Resstaurant Board.

FP Cancelation Threads are on this board listed by Month. Currently there should be Threads for January, February and March.

Thank you - exactly what I was looking for!

Looking at these boards (especially the ADR's for BOG - we aren't in FP+ booking time yet) I'm a bit confused as to how this works.

If someone has an ADR that they want to give up, is it just a matter of coordinating with them via PM, to where they drop it on their end, and I have to book it on my end through the Disney website?

Can someone explain the process. I'm going to stalk the May Cancelled ADR thread for a BOG reservation, keeping my fingers crossed :)

Yes. Everything on the Dining Board is done by PM. Coordinate with whoever is canceling. The first post in each Cancelation thread gives the guidelines.

I guess I'm still unclear though on how the process works if they cancel and I want the reservation.

I know that if I find someone that's cancelling something I want, I'll send them a PM. But then with that person I'm PM'ing, do we just coordinate so that right when they drop it, I would go online through Disney on my end and hope to pick it up?

So essentially if someone else in internet space is looking for an ADR at the same time the person I'm PM'ing drops the reservation, they could potentially pick it up, if I don't get to it first?

Also, with ADR's, do I have to find someone cancelling a reservation for the exact # of people I'm looking for (3)?

Yes. Whatever is canceled by the other party can be picked up by others. That's why its best to coordinate an odd time to do so. Last year I had to cancel SWW packages from two different accounts. The DISer picking them up chose the time, I had two iPads set to cancel, and she and her DH had their iPhones set to the Dining reservation screens. They were able to pick up the packages.

If someone is releasing a party of 4, you only have to reserve for 3 because the canceled ADR just goes back into the pool of availability.

Perfect - thanks so much for your help!
