We're looking at flying to MCO from BNA (Nashville) in January 2018. We're flexible on dates, and right now we can get flights for $74 each on Southwest. Is that the best it's likely to get? If so, we're snatching them up before they sell out!

Not familiar with your market, but I'd book it. That sounds pretty good and the chance you come up with something better is lower than the chance of that price going up.

That is a good price~ and after you book, you can always watch the price for that flight. If it goes lower, Southwest allows you to rebook the ticket and use the difference as a credit to put towards a future flight within a year.

I fly from BNA a lot. I always do points though so not familiar with dollar pricing. How many points is that? Either way, it is not a bad price assuming it is nonstop and I'd book. You can always get a credit if the price drops. Lately the prices have been astronomical out of BNA for decent time of day nonstop flights.

My husband flies out of BNA a lot as well, but usually for work, so I don't book the travel. The points are in the 9,000 point range each way for those $75 flights. I feel like that's pretty good, and yes, they're non-stop. I'm so spoiled by Southwest now that I will fly at crazy times to get non-stop flights. Ha!

You can find Orlando in the 3k point range certain days and times but if those are your preferred day and time for 9k points and nonstop then grab them!

That is a really good price out of BNA...I have seen them go as low as $59 each way, but rare these days. Usually close to double that...we have driven there the last few trips because prices were so high to fly out of BNA for some reason. I also spoke to someone that drives to Chattanooga and takes Alegient Air out for super cheap...but there are only certain days they fly and they go into Sanford (so they normally rent a car). I have also even looked into doing a park and fly out of Atlanta because of the rates out of BNA. :)

I'm about to! I am trying to pay for some of our trip with CC points, so as soon as my gift cards arrive, we're booking. Side note: Do you use the Southwest CC to earn Rapid Rewards? As I said, my husband travels for work, and it could benefit him to get priority boarding, but we'd have to book and get reimbursed, etc. I'm not sure if it's really worth it. However, if we decide to try to fly for more family vacations, it could be helpful.

Yes, I was thinking that $59 fare might pop up, but I'm not sure I've seen ANY of those out of BNA recently. We've always driven (two kids makes it way more cost effective to drive), but decided to make flying work this time. I feel like the total time with driving to Chatt and then flying would almost take as much time as hopping in the car and driving. We're on the north side of Nashville, so it's a decent haul to Chatt from here. I've really become spoiled by Southwest, though. Our family lives in an area not covered by Southwest, and I'm always shocked at the prices. Definitely worth a drive to a different airport for the cost savings in that instance.
