Bluezoo or Flying Fish???

Flying Fish, although I often go to the Blue Zoo bar for their good bar menu. For a full meal, Flying Fish hands down.

They’re both great. Flying fish had better service when I went. Both places provided a server who was pleasant but slammed. Flying fish server did a better job of explaining and apologizing. Both places had amazing food.

Neither restaurant seems to have the ratio of servers to customers correct. FF servers have more charm and at least apologise for being overstretched and I think the food is more flavoursome. We found the food at Blue Zoo bland and under seasoned; everyone around us seemed to be complaining about the slow service and asking for salt and that inevitably colours one’s experience and enjoyment.

We've only been to Blue Zoo once - we had a great server, found the atmosphere and food to be underwhelming. We LOVE FF and have never had a bad experience. Everything feels like a big step up from FF, though the prices are comparable (from what I recall).

Blue Zoo by the thinnest of margins between them. We do not go often I love seafood but the girls look for anything not seafood on the menus

FF is the hands down winner in our home.

We found Bluezoo’s food to be lacking (bland) and the service not as efficient as FF.

Sorry, I meant everything AT Flying Fish seems like a big step up from Blue Zoo, even though the prices are pretty similar - sorry for the typo.

Battle of the seafood spots.. which do you prefer???
We prefer BlueZoo because they offer multiple selections daily for whole grilled fish....that can be deboned table side.

Dining room is quiet...once you get past the bar.

If traveling with a young child, childcare is also 'free' with the purchase on an entree (at any Swan & Dolphin Signature; some rules apply).

Also, the new lounge in Dolphin lobby that has live music lends to an indoor after-dinner stroll.

But we also enjoy Flying Fish...and strolling the Boardwalk....

Both are really good. We've had very good meals and servers at both.
The menu at Flying Fish was more extensive. But just for seafood, BlueZoo by a small margin.

^^^THIS!!!!!! Grab an appetizer and their amazing smokin' sangria at Blue Zoo during Happy Hour (yep a rare Happy Hour at Disney). Then have the rest of the meal at Flying Fish. Their menu and execution is far superior in my seafood-lovin mind and I think it is the most beautiful restaurant on property to boot.

I guess this is contrarian, but we find Bluezoo to be exponentially better than Flying Fish, especially since the FF redesign, which was accompanied by a significant deterioration in food quality and service. On the other hand, we’ve found Bluezoo to be consistently excellent, with both innovative as well as more traditional choices, outstanding service, and a beautiful setting.

I would agree, right after the remodel, the quality of food at Flying Fish seem less. However, our last 2 trips, the food has been back to previous quality levels. The interior design is either love or hate it, I don't find it objectionable.

Flying Fish is always consistently good, in my opinion. blueZoo was wonderful the first time I ate there years ago but much less impressive on my last visit (which I admit was over 2 years ago). But FF is always on my must-do list! I just wish they would go back to their dessert menu before the remodel and the the move to deconstructed desserts.

I've eaten at both. When i ate at Bluezoo I remember telling my family, "That is the best fish I have ever eaten." Then we went to Flying Fish and oh my.... it was nothing short of amazing. I will say that I preferred the ambiance at Flying Fish a bit more. And the service is top notch.

If it was the pre-renovation Flying Fish, it would not even be a question. But we have never fallen in love with the new FF and now prefer BlueZoo, probably because we're still mad that FF doesn't have the potato wrapped snapper anymore. Also think FF is not completely focused on seafood anymore. I would go BlueZoo.
