Just back from the Blue Zoo. Had dinner on Friday night with the spouse, kids : 13 and 17. The restaurant was 1/2 full. I had
tuna tartar and dancing fish ( which is fish grilled on an open flame) I enjoyed my food. My son had salmon and my wife had crispy sea bass. They loved the food. My daughter had filet of beef and she also liked it. The service could be improved, but since it has just opened I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I liked the Blue Zoo better than the Flying Fish, which I went to last summer. However, I went to the California Grill on Saturday and I believe that the Blue Zoo is not at the the level of the CG.

I would like to also note that the Blue Zoo is an adult space. If I had younger kids, I do not think I would be comfortable there.

Ooo thanks for the review on this new restaurant I had friends staying at the Dolphin In December and I saw people getting this restaurant ready.

Intersting comparison to the Flying Fish I love that place so I think I'll enjoy dining there - just don't know when I'm going to fit it in ;)

Thanks for the review! 18 more days!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

It sounds like a fantastic resort! Thanks for the review. :)

Thanks for the review!

From what I've been hearing, once the service finally settles down, this place is going to be really really nice.

Just what I need, another "must do restaurant to add to my list" LOL

Thanks for the review, it's always nice to read reviews of new restaurants. We will have to give this one a try on our next trip.

Thank you so much for this review. We were so excited to hear that Todd English had opened a restaurant at Disney. We are from Boston, and our favorite restaurant up here is Todd English's Olives (as seen last night on NBC's The Apprentice). We can't wait to try Blue Zoo!

And anytime we passed the restaurant it was hopping and the menu looked fantastic. We really wanted to try it but it really isn't for "kids" and our 2 year old son wouldn't fit in. I can not wait to try it; hopefully my parents will be coming on our next trip and can babysit one night.

Can you tell me alittle more about this restaurant. What type of cuisine, is it dressy, or casual, where is it, etc...Thank you.

Hey Steamboat Girlie!

We love Olive's too!!! We were thinking of trying Bluezoo when we are down there next month but I figured we can have the best of Todd English at Olive's anytime. We are actually going to Kingfish Hall tomorrow night. We love it there as well - have you tried it?

I am pleased that people liked my review.
In response to Monte's question:
The restaurant dress is I guess what people call smart casual, no suit and tie, but I did not see any people wearing torn tee-shirts or halter tops. The food is mainly fish, but there are some meat entrees. There is a big wine list, but is fairly reasonable with the lowest price for a decent bottle of wine about $30. The portions were filling but not huge.
