Blue Springs State Park

We usually go to Blue Springs so see the manatees that winter there during our December trip to WDW. This year that was over NYE, and we didn't rent a car, so now I'm going to Blue Springs on Saturday. Does anyone know if any of the manatees are still there? I want to go anyway, but just wondering if maybe, hopefully at least one or two are late leaving.

I don't know the answer to your question but I'd bet the folks at the park can tell you for sure. Call the park at 386-775-3663.

We were at Blue Springs on Feb. 25th and they were there. What a gorgeous place!! Absolutely gorgeous.....even without the manatees.

We also went to Apollo Beach area (on the west coast) and there were more manatees than I have ever seen there.

Someday we'll have to venture to Apollo Beach. Thank you for the suggestion. We are members of "Save the Manatees" and my DSis has "adopted" Brutus for us for many years. He spends the winter in Blue Springs which is why I like to make the yearly trip there. We're going anyway this Saturday. I've always gotten a busy signal or a closed for the day message when I've called the park directly.

Well, I got through...it's up in the 80's every day, the manatees are gone.
