Blue refillable cups purchased 2010, can you still bring them back?

A friend would like to know if she can bring back blue refillable cups that they purchased in 2010? I see the ones now are red.

Yes...you can bring them back year after year.

My friend now tells me that the blue cups were purchased when they did the all you can eat meal deal and they got free refills. Can you still bring those back and pay the small refill fee like you would on the red ones? They don't want to carry them if they can not refill them for the small fee.

Sorry for so many questions. I just want to give them the right info.

Hmm...I'm not 100% sure about the meal deal cups but I think you can still bring them back. I'll see if I can find out and let you know.

We have an old Spongebob one that I take back every year - DH thinks I am cheap and tries to remove it from the luggage (when I am not looking)

We bought refillable cups last year. It was Buy 3 get one free. Our friends did the same thing. They have been back to US/IOA this year and they took those cups and they refilled them for the small fee. They had no trouble.

This is what the Universal website says:

This ticket entitles you to one (1) day of unlimited soft drink fountain beverages at all participating Meal Deal locations at either Universal Studios Florida OR Universal's Islands of Adventure.

To purchase the 1-Day Meal Deal Sipper Cup ticket online you must also purchase a 1-Day Meal Deal ticket in the same online transaction.

All Ages: $8.99


These cups allow you to fill up for free all day. I don't believe you can use them again. They are different from the normal refillable cups where you pay a reduced price for each fillup. Pretty sure you have to have to have purchased the meal deal the day you use this cup.

that is correct.
the cups are refillable for that day,
mugs are refillable for a lifetime.


last year we had homies report back that they used the refillable cup for more than one day of their vacation.


maybe they had TM's that were not aware of the regulations (that damo quoted) or either they did not care.


I've never used the cup/beverage program as i have my reusable Dueling Dragons mug from years back to use for the discounted refills.
