Has anyone done both of these, so can tell me if they are anything alike? I was thinking of booking the BMG as a surprise for our night at Universal, but not if its anything like Cirque - we reeeeeeally disliked Cirque!!! Are they anything alike?

Have only done BMG - Christmas Day - and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Sat in the front row (splash zone) and wore the poncho provided by didn't get splashed at all. Would really recommend this show - great for all ages. Would go again.

Don't rush off at the end as the Blue Men come out into the foyer area after the show for photo opportunities.

Sorry have not done Cirque - does not appeal to us.

Did Cirque and didn't enjoy at all and wasn't worth the crazy price, then did BMG and its brilliant, one of me fave shows and worth every penny.
Last year I got some discounted Cirque tix, Karen likes it so I decided to try again, enjoyed it a lot more the 2nd time & worth the $53 we paid, I just think its way overpriced at full cost.
Everyone is different, I know some who think Cirque is the best thing since sliced bread and don't get BMG so you have to try for yourself.
No they are nothing alike, you can Youtube BMG for clips but personally I would just book and go.

Felt the same as you about Cirque. Too pretentious for my liking, despite the obvious talent of the performers. BMG was one of the most joyous occasions of my adult life during the finale (Those who've been will understand). We loved it so much that we are seeing them again on our next trip :thumbsup2
Do it!

Thanks guys :thumbsup2 I was then going to book . . . typically its not on the only night we're staying at Universal though!! Unbelievable!!!!:sad2:

Nothing like each other - both well worth it in their own right - enjoyed each for completely different reasons - they are chalk n cheese as shows go!

Sonya, what a shame. :( It really is an amazing show. Maybe you could go just for the evening?

:rotfl: Agreed! SO much fun. I was lucky enough to be taken on stage too (during the Twinkies segment).

Never been to WDW yet... So, what do these shows usually cost (per person, adult)? Are there discounts for slower times of the year? (Jan.)

It's a slippery slope, trust me! I've now seen them 3 times in total (New York, Vegas & Orlando) and I'm also going to be seeing them again next year now :flower3: Just booked an NCL cruise and they just happen to be the entertainment ;)
