So, my daughter is going to let us use a couple of her passes to get into WDW.

Does she have to be with us to get in or does she actually get tickets that she can physically give to us....In case she is working at a different park that day..

And do we know when the Blackout dates are? We are headed down there in Nov and want to make sure we are going at a time when the passes can be used..

She will need to let you in the parks. Not sure of November black out dates but there won't be many if any and if so I would guess the only one will be MK for Thanksgiving. I don't usually go to Disney over Tday though so not sure on that.

When she gets to Disney she can put in for days off when you will be there if she is interested in doing that.

She needs to be with you to get you into the parks the first time on a given day but after that, you're given an actual ticket so if she has to go to work, you can go to another park and get in without her.

She should be able to look up blackout dates on the Hub.

Thanks.

So, if she is working those days we can't get into the parks?

Will she be able to get 3 days off of work with no problem?
Or is it kind of hard to get 3 days off in a row?

We're hoping she can get the hotel room for us as well.

We plan to use 3 of her tickets.... there will be three of us so it works perfect!!

:)

Thanks.

MANY CPs work later day/evening hours so it is very possible she can get you into the parks and even spend some time with you before she has to go to work.

It's hard to tell if she can get three days off in a row or not. On my daughter's CP she had the same days off the entire time (which I know is rare) so if we were coming in those days we all ready knew she was available. I know one time I came with one of my friends and my daughter got several days off...it's really important to put in for those days off early.

Once she can get on the Hub she can get the hotel room. If she stays with you there is more of a discount. My daughter always stayed with us; that way if she worked part of the day we still had some of the day with her - a meal or some downtime at the least.

If she is working she may be able to meet you during her lunch break to let you into the parks depending on where she is at.

Also, make sure she requests those days off as soon as she can. If the dates are denied she can try to trade or give the shifts away. Just about every area has a facebook group where cast members give away and trade shifts.

Thanks.

Depending on when she works, she could still get you into the parks before her shift.
It really depends on if day off requests will be approved. Just make sure she puts the request in as early as possible. I had no problem getting days off when my family was there last fall. And she can always try to find people she works with the take shifts if the request is denied.

Also, most managers are pretty good about giving you the time off if you ask with enough warning (think 1 or 2 months) or will try to make it work with your normal days off. And depending on where she works, it is REALLY easy to give away shift. If she ends up being food service, she shouldn't have a problem either switching or giving away her shifts.

Thanks.

As everyone has mentioned, the sooner she requests the days off, the better her chances. If she already has HUB access, she needs to requests those days off asap! (fall advantage people have already been there for a while and have already started to requests days off I imagine)

A lot depends on her location..on my DD's first CP program she NEVER got any days off that were requested -not once!, but she was in QSFB at a small location in one of the resorts. Fortunately she was well liked by her managers and they were able to give her some ADOs when her requests were denied.

When she extended and changed roles, she never had trouble getting days off:confused3. She was granted every request off she put in. It is not difficult to get several days off in a row if it is at a location that normally is easy to request days off.

As for the hotels, have her book them as soon as possible as the number of discounted rooms are quite limited. My daughter already booked a room with us for November so I know they have that time frame available, but she booked it back in June so I am not sure what is still available. My daughter stayed with us during her CP programs because it was a nice break for her from all of her roommates and it was easier for her to get to work being on property. Now she stays with us because it saves her the commute from Davenport which is not far, but she hates driving in traffic.

Thanks for all of the info. Not sure she is in HUB yet. She doesn't get to WDW until Aug 28. I'll ask her. She's not even sure of where she is working yet so I would assume that she does not have access to HUB.
