Anyone gone to Blue Lagoon in Nassau with young kids (e.g. 10 and under)? If so, did you enjoy your day? Did they do the aqua park or stick with the mats and floats?

I'm trying to see if it's worthwhile. The place looks amazing, but my one issue is that our ship is only there from 7am - 2pm.

Would love to hear any feedback...good or bad.

We have been there twice. Once in February 2015 and in November 2014 and both times we had a great time! My kids were 6 and 8 at the time. The first time we just did the beach and mats. We stayed all day until the last boat back to the Dream ( I think 4pm) and we had a blast. It was pretty empty - felt like we had the place to ourselves.

The second time we did the dolphin encounter and again had a great time. After the dolphin encounter, we spent the day on the beach and again had a great time and took the last boat back to the Dream. Everyone was very friendly.

We will probably do it again on our next cruise.

We went last year and my kids were 8 & 10. They did the water inflatables and we rented a water trike. It was so quiet relaxing and peaceful there. We loved it! This year we did Atlantis and although we loved the excursion we were exhausted after!

We took our DD6 and had a great time. The water and sand were great to play in. Didn't even need to go into the aqua park, played with the provided mats/raft. Lunch was great as well.

We loved Blue Lagoon Island. We did the dolphin encounter and loved it!! The kids were 3, 9, and 13. It felt like we had the place to ourselves for most of the afternoon. Very relaxing and husband and kids loved the inflatable water slides.

Blue Lagoon looks great. I have signed up for the excursion but am still not 100%. The good thing is I've only heard good reviews (and even just the beach day). The bad thing is that our excursion is only 4hrs. Anyone gone for such a short stay? Is it still worthwhile? (I'm still thinking it'll be a much better day than just walkign to Junkanoo beach which is aparently 'ok' but not fantastic)

We are planning on jumping in a taxi and going to cabbage beach for a few hours. It's $4 in a taxi and it's the public beach not too far from Atlantis.
