Has anyone purchased the half day Blue Lagoon Beach excursion? Just the beach, no dolphins. We would be there on March 1. Is it worth the price to go? I've read water temps average 73-77 that time of year.

There are lots of online reviews and most say you only get about 2 hours on the beach. You spend as much time getting there and back.

Thanks! I read the reviews and they are all very positive. The ferry is 40 minutes there; and 30 minutes back. You spend 3.5 to 5.5 hours at Blue Lagoon Beach. That's the perfect amount of time for us!

We did this excursions a couple years ago. We loved it, the beach area was very nice and relaxing. The ride over is very nice too, there are beautiful homes along the way, it was enjoyable. Half day was perfect for us. We were there in January, the weather was so nice, the water was a little cool but once we got in, it was fine.

Have fun!

I read that the full day was 3.5 - 5.5 hours - I was trying to figure out the difference between the full day and half day, other than getting the lunch. Gemduncan - did you do full or half day?

We did the half day and it did include lunch. The food was burger, chicken sandwiches, fries..picnic type food. Half day was perfect for us! But next time, I will stay on the Dream because there is so much to do on the ship. We are going on the Dream again in February 2017.

Also, you can explore the dock area and watch the dolphins do tricks at no charge. You can also walk around and look at the sting rays at no extra charge. My daughter (age 6 at the time) remembers the dolphins performing tricks the most out of the beach day trip.

Yes, my DS and I did this excursion when he was 6 years old and we had a wonderful time. The boat ride is lovely and the beach was very nice. Lunch was included though the food was very bad, IMHO! We ended up buying some packaged snacks in their gift shop and had a late lunch on the ship when we got back.

The beach day at Blue Lagoon is very nice, although I agree that the food is terrible. Each time I've been to Blue Lagoon, there's been several options for when you can return to the ship.

I have not seen a half day option on the cruises I have taken, do you have a short day in Nassau?
