It is really pretty convenient to do wash at Pop. I think I washed twice when I was there last year. There is a laundry rooom right over by the bowling pin pool. My room was close to there, too. I am hoping for a room in the same section this time around. I may do wash as well since I will be coming over from 4 days at Universal.

But, I think we better not tell Beth if we do wash!

Ladies, for those of you arriving on Nov 1 and looking for dinner, there is a place for you! I made a second reservation at Kona Café for 4 people, 6:45 pm, then we can meet up with the 7:10 group in the Lounge after dinner. If more than 4 need dinner, I'll call back and see if a larger table is available.

So Beth, could you add that to the first page beside the other Kona reservation? If you are interested, PM Beth (and cc me) as she controls the content in those postings!

If I am there for over three nights, I usually do a load of wash. But I still end up packing too much.

I'm with ya. I'm on vacation, no laundry for me! I do enough of that at home.

And, no ironing either. You all are going to see me in wrinkled clothing. :lmao:

I don't want to check my luggage, so things WILL fit in my carryon. My problem will be getting things to fit for the trip home if I go shopping.

Pop does not have wireless internet.

They do have a cable available in the room for high speed internet. There's a fee. I think it's 10 bucks a day or something like that. If I am going to use internet in my room I just use AOL dialup.

I know there is a group for HHN and another for MNSSHP for Friday night. Anyone not going to either of those? I was not planning on either and wondered if anyone else would be around.

Kris and I are not attending either of those. We just have a TS at Boma for that night at 7pm, if you are interested. We made it for 4 people, just in case anyone wanted to join. We still have the 2 spots open.

Sorry, my previous post might be considered argumentative or sarcastic.

But I have been holding my tongue for over a week. And what I have to say is not against any one person or personal at all.

This group did start out as a DIS ladies only meet last year, we had lots of women there, and probably 95% had a great time. But like everything in life, you cannot please everyone.

So after the DIS Ladies came back last year, we continued to talk and our bonds of friendship got even stronger.

Then we started to talk about the next trip, we voted on a week, majority won and we were ready to go.

We decided to open it up and put a notice on the CB about our meet for this year and offer it up to any women.

Many women responded at first saying that they would join. This happened the previous year, if everyone had gone there would have been more than 100 women.

This year there were maybe 20 or so women who responded about this year's trip. Of those 20 women, maybe 4 or 5 started talking on the chat thread. There are also a few who cannot keep up because of work and family.

Now all of sudden there is a few posters who have never posted here before, that are complaining about this years trip. So I am shocked to learn that all of a sudden we were supposed to have been responsible for picking parks that we would tour, times at resorts to meet, and meals.

I had been so excited about this year, I knew that I would be seeing my friends from last year, and hopefully making some new friends. But after seeing the posts of others I doubt that after this year I would want to meet anyone else. Especially since so many posters have made it clear that they would not want to meet me.

Anyhoo, I will be there in November and I plan on having a fabulous time!!!

I don't think anyone meant any harm. I know I have been planning on going to the meet since about early August. I thought it was open to all the Dis women. I never knew there was a sign up type of thing. :confused3

I think most of the PMS group thought the same. I don't think anyone was expecting a touring plan.

I have met most of te PMS crew in person and I can tell you they(we) are a more the merrier type of bunch.

I think this was all just a big misunderstanding. So lets all :grouphug:

and be friends and enjoy a drink, or two or three, together.

And reminder, I made a reservation earlier this week at Kona for 6:45 pm on Nov 1, so if anyone is coming in that day and needs a plan for dinner, please PM Beth (see the front page) so she can add your name to the reservation. Or, PM me and I'll PM Beth to edit the post. I don't know anyone, but I do need to eat dinner! So come eat dinner with me - I've never eaten at Kona. :cool1:
