Can you make reservations for Blue Bayou just for dessert? My family wouldn't like the food much, especially for the cost. But to be able to eat there for dessert would be awesome!
I believe you can, but the usual protocol is to reserve for a less busy time. Also, make sure to tip your server well, since he/she has to work just as hard for your party as they do for a group that orders several courses.
I am curious too as I don't see them. However, I have see past ones with a creme brule and chocolate cake. At least my kids are much easier to please when it comes to sugar . And if they don't like them, I know they have these $8 light up drink cups that they would like.
I'm not sure that is allowed, I would ask when you reserve. I'm sure they would not be in business long if everyone just went for drinks or dessert so they could enjoy the surroundings. I understand why you would want to go for just desserts, I just don't think there going to want to give up precious space for people that aren't ordering. Maybe like theluckyrabbitt said, if they weren't full or busy, but every time we've been there it is packed. Would love to hear what you find out.
Could be true, I honestly don't know. I do know that they don't have to allow adults to eat fro the kids menu. Maybe the reason they don't publish a dessert menu is so people aren't encourage to come for just dessert. We will be there shortly and I can ask if that's not too late for you.
The creme brûlée we had last trip seemed more watery than custardy. No good.
We have been before for dessert only they give you a bread basket unless you tell them otherwise. They must have not have seen our note 'dessert only' on the reservation. That made me feel embarrassed. We did make the reservation for more of an off time and didn't ask for waterside.
The full meal is worth it IMO & they have a wonderful salad. I think you should save up and go when you can have a full meal there.
