Hiya,

Jut wondering how long dinner at blue bayou takes? The day we are looking at reserving the park closes at 7pm. We want to do dinner & then still have time to wander a bit. Will a 5:30 reservation be okay for this or should we try 5pm?

They're really quick. You can easily get in and out in an hour. When we were there last week, I purposely tried to linger a little after we ate just so I felt I was getting my money's worth. My only concern would be if something happened to cause you not to be seated on time.

I'd go at 5 just so I could enjoy myself without worrying about the time.

I went last Thursday, actually showed up 20 minutes late because we were stuck on Indiana Jones, and they seated us maybe 5-7 minutes later. Once we were seated, we weren't waiting very long to get drinks, bread, and our entrees. We were probably out of there within 30-40 minutes. It depends on how busy it is, though, of course, and how much meandering you want to do after. Personally, I'd go for 5 p.m., but that's just me.

id plan for an hour.

don't forget to order the Louisiana lemonade!!

it has a glow cube and is really good.

Thanks everyone. We got a 5:10pm reservation :) So excited to go. I've always wanted to eat there

Are you planning on arriving early to request a table by the water? It makes a big difference IMO. They always tell us 30 minutes but in my experience it's usually more like 15-20. At the very least, even if you don't get there early, don't let them seat you by the restrooms or kitchen.

We were seated in a corner by the server area and it was totally fine. We got waterfront on our first visit and I couldn't see a thing. Water tables aren't for everyone!
