Hi-

Hints for obtaining a riverside table at Blue Bayou for 4, me, DH, DD (6) and DS(3). Prefer late lunch. Have eaten there several times but never on the water's edge.

Husband says show up at our time and then politely insist on waiting for a riverside table to open up. I hate it however when he causes scenes. Making this request wouldn't reguire him making a scene would it? He's an attorney and often makes scenes without realizing it .

Any other thoughts. We've tried making the reservation at the earliest time but even then the tables are the first gone.

Thank you in advance.

First request a water front table when you make your reservation (they will probably tell you you may have a longer wait). Then when you get there tell them again, that you want a water front table and that you are willing to wait a bit longer for it.

We had no trouble getting it when we ate there in Dec. And will be trying it again in November.

Hope this helps.

We made a PS at Blue Bayou first thing one morning and did request a table by the water's edge. When we came back for our PS at 12:30 we were seated...right by the servers' station--not by the water's edge AT ALL! We politely asked to be moved to another table (there were about 3 or 4 available). I think that you just have to be firm but polite. My husband has a good way of getting what he wants. I would never have the guts to do it--that's why I have him!:D

You need to make sure to remind them when you check in that you want a water front table.

I was going to suggest as WDW2002. It worked for us. I t was great sitting by the water's edge!

Just an added note--we liked our seat by the water's edge--some of the people that were riding the Pirates of the Carribean ride were calling things out to those at the restuarant like:"Are you guys real?"--I guess they thought we were part of the ride or something. They were also taking pictures and using their camcorders (with bright lights too!).
It was kind of funny at first, then alittle annoying!

I would also suggest getting there a few minutes ahead of your assigned time. You mentioned you prefer a late lunch, so it probably won't be a problem, but we had the first seating and it was a nightmare! Must've been a hundred people (I'm not exaggerating) waiting in the foyer!
