What is the age limit on the childs menu? My kids are 9 & 11...but my son eats like an adult! I had gastric bypass surgery years ago, so I can't eat much. I was thinking about having both of my kids order off the kids menu and then eatting my son's meal while he eats mine.

Dang it, I was afraid of that! My daughter and I barely eat, what a waste of money...but my son has requested this for his b-day..so I guess I will just eat it (no pun intended)!

Maybe you and your daughter could split something off of the regular menu - just ask them to bring you an empty plate to avoid the split plate charge.

I don't even need an empty plate! We share off the same plate all the time. I just don't want to spend the extra $$ for a whole dinner when I know if won't get eaten and we won't be taking a "to go" box.

I was just thinking that two "adult" meals will come out to roughly the same amount as two child meals and one adult meal. In the ballpark, anyway.

Good luck. :)

You can still order from the kids' menu. Just tell them you can't eat a full meal due to your surgery (If you have some sort of dr's note that will help too) and that you will be ordering from the kids' menu. OR pick something for you and DD to share, then just share, don't ask to share a plate and you won't get charged the fee, just ask for an extra plate when the meal comes. My DD is turning 10 next week, she wants BB for her bday meal and we plan to let them know she and probably her sister (DD13) will be eating from the kids' menu instead of the adult menu. DD9 already knows what she wants....LOL

I was reading on another forum that BB didn't let this other lady that had had gastric bypass order from the kids menu. I plan on sharing with DD, I just didn't want to pay a fee for a plate. ;)

We've had plenty of reports from people here that they did not have to pay a split plate fee, they just asked for an extra plate after the order came and they got one. You don't get extra starters or sides tho, the point of the split plate is they split it for you and you both get sides and a starter.

DS and I shared the Monte Cristo on our last BB experience ~ it came out on one plate, we got 1 serving of the side (gumbo) and 1 extra plate ~ I did the splitting. NO FEE!

We did this in April as well. Just asked for a extra plate and then there is no split fee. If you ask them to split it, you actually get more food and pay the fee.

we were there about 2 weeks ago. My 28 yr old daughter ordered off the kids meals - no questions asked.

have a good time.

We have done this and there was never a problem.
