Blue Bayou Question - How quick is the service?

I am wondering how fast the service is a Blue Bayou. I am sure as with any other restaurant, you can experience quick service and almost not exsistent service but in general, is the service somewhat fast? Or is it expected that you will be there for awhile, leisurely eating your meal?

I ate there Sunday and the service was pretty quick: Our salads came out pretty fast and it wasn't that long after we finished the salads before the main course came out.

Mind you, we were there about 4-ish, right at the lucnh-dinner turnaround. There seemed to be some empty tables about when we entered.

We have never had a problem even at busy times. I feel if you pay attention to the server, they pay attention to you.

Okay, I think we may give this a try. DD will almost be 2 when we go and she will not sit forever at a restaurant. I am planning on doing the 11:30 seating for lunch so we can be sure and get the waterside table.

It's pretty quick, though getting seated takes forever. If you have a reservation add 20 minutes onto the time you have it for (This can make up the waiting time and the time you show up early)...and thats a low estimate.

Ok, here is my first post. We have been to Disneyland many times, but our last tme was the first we went to the Blue Bayou. We were quite happy with it. We went for dinner and waited about 10-12 minutes to be seated. We had a large party of 6 adults and 3 children. We did not get water side seating, but we didnt ask for it. Service was great and our waitress was quite nice. I would say we were there about and hour and fifteen minutes. But that was great. Nice place to relax and listen to the ride. It was like you were in the ride and hanging out, while someone brought you food! How cool is that! We are going back in October and the Blue Bayou is on our list! Worth the splurge!pirate: !

Actually, we arrived for our reservation at about 3:40 to hopefully get a water view. Not only did we get the view, we were seated in about five minutes: 15 minutes or so before our reservation! I think this will be our norm for now on...

Of course, they do remind you to get there early.
