Blue Bayou/Pirates Refurb

In case anyone is curious, I'm sitting in Blue Bayou for lunch and boats are going by with occasional test dummies/weights. As of right now the atmosphere seems wonderful and authentic even with the ride not fully open.

We did hear some sort of ride operator PA type announcement from the ride a few minutes ago that mentioned the word "riders". I couldn't quite make it out, but it got me excited. Or maybe they're just practicing for next week.

Thanks! I was wondering... we have a reservation for lunch tomorrow, and was wondering what it would be like. We've never been, so we won't have anything to compare with... but I'm thankful for your report!

I've had lunch at the Blue Bayou once when Pirates was down (temporary, not a planned refurb) and it was actually one of the best experiences I've had at Blue Bayou. Everything looked normal, but because there were no boats going by and no sounds from the loading bay, we could actually hear the sounds associated with the bayou area (occasional splashes of some animal getting into the water, crickets chirping (or some bug), etc.). I had never really had a chance to notice the sound effects before and it was nice to get to experience it once.
