ok...I am thinking about making ressies for BB but debating on weather we should do lunch or dinner? Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? It will be me/DH/DD {7}/DD{15}...just though DS would really like this so was thinking about splurging for it...thanks in advance!

what are the pros/cons between lunch and dinner!

Its my understanding that the menu is pretty much the same both times except the Monte Cristo is only offered at Dinner I believe. The only difference is the price, Lunch is cheaper. I have ressies for lunch later this week, am so excited. We are going to split meals to make it cheaper

It's actually only offered at lunch :) You can grab it for dinner at Cafe Orleans

Lunch, you get to avoid that heat for awhile too!

What are the lunch hours? Is there a menu posted somewhere? We enjoyed our dinner last Jan, but are thinking of doing lunch there in Sept.

sweet, maybe I'll make some late resseies for lunch and then we will be refreshed for more riding or to go back and take a nap!!! thanks for the input!

We're eating lunch there, because we heard it was cheaper and the menu is pretty similar to the dinner menu. ::yes::

Molasses-Brined Bayou Pork Chop - 10 oz. chop, pan-seared and topped with sauteed Granny Smith apple wedges. Choice of two sides: Blue Bayou potatoes, seasonal vegetables or sauteed spinach. $25.99

Le Special de Monte Cristo - Turkey, ham and Swiss cheese in a battered egg bread, lightly fried to a golden brown. Choice of two sides: Blue Bayou potatoes, seasonal vegetables or sauteed spinach. $18.99

two questions. we each want a little of both so we were thinking of ordering both and just spliting it when got to our table, should we just do split charge?

also what is the Blue Bayou potatoes? wedges mashed or frys type? (ok so we like frys)

I believe the split plate charge is if you order one meal and are going to split that plate. but I may be wrong:confused3

Thanks for posting the menu links disneyfaninaz! I knew someone would have a better memory than me.

The potatoes are kind of like scalloped potatoes. thinly sliced and kind of bland.

The potatoes are not bland...not when I've eaten them! :) And I've eaten them about 6 times in the past year. LOL They are thin sliced and served in a yummy cheesy sauce. Very good for this Idaho girl. LOL :)
The MC is only available at lunch, not at dinner. We prefer lunch because it's a bit cheaper. No need to split your plates, just share when they are delivered. DBF and I do that when we don't actually share a plate. LOL
The salad is good, so is the gumbo, it's got chicken sausage instead of pork. We share those too. :) Make sure to get a cookie boat at the end, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

ty ty, yes we will for sure get the cookie boat is it big enough to share between all three of us? what is the little keepsake they say comes with each thing?
those are my fav kind potatos ty

I like an early lunch it is easier to get a waterside table. I'm sure your DS will find that more exciting.:goodvibes

LOL we shared it between 4 and almost couldn't finish. LOL It's very good, you get some choc. coins and you can take the sail home, it's a sugar based sail but it's hard. It will probably melt if it gets wet and it will break if it's not packed well but that's what your keepsake is. :) At least it was for us.

And then chances are the ants will love them too.:lmao:

Nope, no ants inside. LOL We have been really lucky with that. Ours did break though.....it was dropped off the shelf it was sitting on, so we did toss it.
