Blue Bayou Fantasmic seating area

We have the Blue Bayou Fantasmic dining package booked and I was wondering if there is a preferred location within the section. From what I've read it looks like it's the most centered but I can't find much about where to be within the section. Any info would be appreciated.

The best thing to do is to check it out during the day, before they put the ropes up. The section is slightly slopped, the railings are lower than the back wall.

I usually make sure to get right at the railings. Im a small person and I dont like people sitting in front of me. I stretch out and sit with my feet resting on the bottom of the railings.

Some people dont like having the railings in their eyeline, so they sit further back.

I am one of those people who @BadPinkTink refers to who does not like having railing in my eyes.

I would say though that any spot is fine. I have sat at the front ,middle and back and they are all fine. Unless you sit next to one of the lampstand areas which can block the view if you are too close to them. There is generally sufficient space to move around if someone large sits in front of you. Just move two feet to the side.

Of all the good spots, my fave is 10-12 ft back from the railing. I will sit there if it is available but I will not show up early to get to that spot. My goal is usually to show up as late as possible. I often end up in the back which IMO is totally fine. Great view of the show.

Slightly random note: We were there (at the Blue Bayou Fantasmic VIP seating) in January and I especially enjoyed that the CMs were telling everyone "sit as close as you are comfortable" to the party around you, rather than basically 'pack in like sardines' . It was our first time ever in DL, so no other views to compare it to, but it really seemed like the whole section had a good view. We sat very close to the front so we wouldn't have many people in front of us.

I don’t think there is bad viewing in the section to be honest. We’ve done it twice. The first time we got alll the way up to the railing. Great views but the railing is there. It didn’t bother us. The second time we took a middle approach. Great views form

You’re sitting on the ground so the railing is gonna be at eye level but then the ground slants downward towards the water so the higher up and further away from the railing the less railing in your view, but then the further away you are. When we go again we will do this package again and we will probably go to the railing cause our short kids can see through it without a person being in the way of their view.
