Blue Bayou Fantasmic package

On the Disneyland site, the Fantasmic package reservation page as well as the regular restaurant reservation page for this restaurant crash with the Something ate the page message with the picture of Stitch. A friend called for a Fantasmic package and was told there were openings but only for those staying in a Disneyland hotel. What is going on with Blue Bayou, and are those staying at Good Neighbor Hotels really treated like lepers by Disney?
 

The app and the website continually crash. I'll try calling for myself.
 
I intended no offense and am surprised it was taken. The system is not working on the website on my computer, or the apps on my tablet or my phone, nor is it working for my friend, and has not for at least the past week, so therefore I assume there is and still remains to be a problem.

That's great that you were able to get what you wanted. Not everyone is so lucky. It's exasperating to spend a long time on hold to be told that only people staying on site will get the reservation.

It was the "how great" working that made it sound like you were being sarcastic/snarky. This is another one of those cases where typing cannot convey tone, so what I read was one thing and what you said was something else. At least we're on the same page now!

Have you tried clearing the cache and/or resetting your browser. Sometimes that helps with the website. I'm using Chrome, not sure if that makes a difference. You might also try logging into your account first, then search for a dining reservation. Sometimes the system gets hung up when trying to load the log-in screen from the dining screen. I had that issue this morning.

I wasn't trying to make a reservation for myself. I cancelled both reservations immediately after I made them. I was only testing the system to see if it was working to try and help you determine whether it was a localized or system-wide issue.
 
I just tried it out for you and I didn’t have any problems. I would try updating your app. If you go to dinning and fantasmic packages it has you click to a link to book online.

What date and party size are you trying to book?
 
Thanks. I did know to try all that and it still has not worked.

I make it a policy not to post when I'll be on vacation and who else will be with me, so that's why I seem to be ignoring requests for that information.

I'm sure it will all work out at some point.
 
They do hold some reservations for hotel guests, it's a perk of paying all that money to stay on site.

I'm guessing you are going at a busy time. We were there on Sunday and did the BB package. When I booked, they said they only had reservations for the 10:30 show. Our dining reservation was 7:40 pm. When we were finishing up the waitress said they hadn't sold many tickets to the second show and asked if we wanted to see the 9:00 pm show as there was still plenty of room. We walked over around 8:45 and the reserved seating area was maybe 25% full. I'm assuming the restaurant is getting booked more so than the Fantasmic packages.
