Blue Bayou Fantasmic Dinner Package

Good idea, thanks for the suggestion. Sounds like a plan. Or maybe I can convince my boyfriend that he wants 2 turfs so I can have 2 surfs :)

Don't do that. Lol. Unless you don't mind paying near $200.

We did this Christmas Eve which was crazy-busy, especially with a table of 10 that included 6 children! I was so impressed with our waiter. He was absolutely on top of things and gave us fantastic service. He let me substitute the kid's chocolate cake for the adult dessert as I was alergic to something in every adult dessert and frankly, I came out the winner. The kid's dessert is amazing.

We got to stay right in our Fantasmic spot for the fireworks and even got the Christmas snow. It was a perfect way to finish Christmas Eve in the park, despite the beyond crazy crowds.

Oops, I meant we each order 1 surf and turf, and then I give him my filet and he gives me his lobster! No way we're ordering 2 entrees each! Haha!

I'd like to know this as well! Waterside table is very important to us :) If we do the earliest seating at 4:00, would we have a better chance to get one with minimal wait?

I would say you are likely to get a waterfront table at that time. It's the prime dinner hours that are tough.

Does the kid get appetizer and dessert as well?

The package looks really good and it is def something I want to do with my family during my DL visit. Thanks.

Yes the kids meals come with a simple crudité and dip app and dessert selection - there may have been a choice for kid dessert but I think it was just a chocolate Mickey cake.

Bummer, as I have the only kid on the planet who does not like cake. I wonder if there's any chance they'd offer him a scoop of ice cream instead (assuming they even have that). I will ask...it never hurts to ask.

Never hurts to ask! And in my experience the nicer TS restaurants will always do what they can to accommodate.

We just did this on Wednesday and thought it was completely worth the high cost. Being able to have a guaranteed great "seat" for Fantasmic and then the fireworks right after when the crowds were so heavy proved invaluable to our family. They do the firework projections right there at the Fantasmic viewing location so you get the complete Disneyland Forever experience.

On the topic of kid desserts, our oldest daughter has a peanut allergy and she was able to choose pear sorbet for her dessert.

Not the only one. DGD doesn't eat cookies or anything chocolate, cake or otherwise. She hated the BB desert and our waitress was a stickler for no substitutions. I'd still ask any way.

I don't recall ice cream as being an option anyway.

I'm probably going to be shot down for this but we had this dinner for Mother's Day weekend and thought the food was awful. I had the steak and I didn't even eat it it was so bland and awful tasting. Unfortunately, my mother became ill so we weren't able to even use the fantasmic tickets. It was an expensive mistake. :-(

Our server was happy to substitute things. DS ordered the chicken breast, but wanted mac & cheese as his side instead of pasta marinara. No problem. For dessert, the CM offered him sorbet (about 5 different flavors to choose from) and berries. It worked out really well for us. The only bummer was that the fireworks were cancelled.

We ended up with fireworks being cancelled on 3 of our 7 nights there. It was a bummer. I didn't realize how little it takes for them to cancel there. I guess it's because it is so close to residential areas?

Just wanted to provide an update. Our dinner was last night and I told our waitress I was interested in the surf and turf but I don't eat beef and was wondering if I could sub something else. She told me I could do surf and surf, so 2 lobster tails. Sold! It was great. Absolutely never hurts to ask!

Maybe you have to request sorbet instead of ice cream?! Lol:) My girls don't really care for the Mickey chocolate cake so I'll have to try this next time.

I was curious if we can watch the fireworks if we don't have dining reservations until the second showing of fantasmic? We got 6:30pm reservations and apparently that is for the latest show.

I doubt they will let you into the viewing area early to watch fireworks (but maybe?). However, I would suggest arriving for your reservation early (like 6:00) and hope to get seated early and there's a likely chance you will get the earlier F! show. It all depends on when you finish dinner and if there are enough tickets for the earlier show available. You are right on the cusp.

We had 6:30 reservations, and our FP's were for the first show.

I made 7:30 reservations on August 10th. Would that be too late to get a good seat, or should I change my reservation to a earlier time?

Also because of the high wildfire risk in California; they cancel if the winds are too high.
