Blue Bayou Fantasmic Dinner Package

Also because of the high wildfire risk in California; they cancel if the winds are too high.
I figured as much. I even told DH that with their issues with drought I'm surprised they can have fireworks period.

I was curious if we can watch the fireworks if we don't have dining reservations until the second showing of fantasmic? We got 6:30pm reservations and apparently that is for the latest show.

I doubt they will let you into the viewing area early to watch fireworks (but maybe?). However, I would suggest arriving for your reservation early (like 6:00) and hope to get seated early and there's a likely chance you will get the earlier F! show. It all depends on when you finish dinner and if there are enough tickets for the earlier show available. You are right on the cusp.

Last week we watched F! at the early showing, staying for the Fireworks. It was our 2nd attempt to watch fireworks since they'd been cancelled the night before. We had seen F! clearly the first night so we didn't line up as early the 2nd night and had a poor view. As soon as F! was over, actually a few minutes before it ended, they had started to remove the ropes around the various areas. They allowed anyone in to view the fireworks. We moved down so we had a great view for Fireworks. They didn't start to re-rope the area for the 2nd F! until after Fireworks were over.

Made our reservations yesterday for the BB Fantasmic Dinner package for August 12th. Chose an early time (4:20pm) in hopes that it would increase our chances at a waterside table. Been to DL four times in the last five years and have never eaten at BB...so excited to finally try it. Question...Do we just request the waterside table once we arrive, or is there a better way to ask prior to arriving? We're willing to wait if we have to since we've never dined there before...want to make sure we get the best experience possible. :)

You can only request the waterside table when checking in. Be clear you don't mind to wait. 2 times I checked in and they told me it would be a 40ish minute wait, I said something like, "that's fine or that's ok", and they did not seat me waterside. So I think when I said "that's fine", they thought I meant I would take first available. I haven't made that mistake since, haha!

Yes, I'll make sure that "fine" means "fine, I'll wait", not "fine, I'll take what you have". :thumbsup2

You can check in before your reservation time. For example, our reservations were for 6:30. I checked in at 6:05, and said I'd like to wait for a waterside table. I was given a pager, and told it would be 35-40 minutes. We ended up getting seated at 6:40, which was only 10 minutes later than our reservation time.

We'll try to show up around 4pm or a little earlier for our 4:20 reservation and wait however long it takes to get the waterside table.

We had reservations for 6:10 on a busy spring break night and had to wait about 30 min. for waterside. We just checked in a little early and walked around the shops (Pandora) lol until the pager went off. I did not mind the wait and did not want to eat super early as I knew it would be a late night.

We did RBT 6/10 and can confirm that when F! was over, a good amount of people left leaving great spots for others to come and sit for the fireworks. It worked perfectly.
