Blue Apron or another version?

I am going to research the other companies mentioned. I would do the meals for two although there are six of us... just to try it out. Plus, with our schedule, we don’t all sit down together for meals. DD (who is 15) says she will help me cook them. So it would be an mom/daughter cooking activity.

I really just want the convenience of not haveing to plan or shop. I don’t have a lot of patience for crowded grocery stores anymore.

I found that the recipes can be somewhat time consuming. They don't send prepped ingredients, so you still have to cut things up and such. Depending on what you order, it might not save you tons of time.

I find this true of blue apron more than home chef. Most of my home chef meals are 35 min or less start to finish.

I tried BlueApron because SB was offering $50 back at one point, so I actually made about $20 after a coupon code applied to my first shipment. I really liked the convenience, and having something 'new'. I have a week each month that is really busy for me, so I'm going to order a box for that week going forward. It's budget because it keeps me from stopping for takeout that's more expensive and nowhere near healthy.

I'm working on finding the best deal/best menu for next month from any of the delivery services. Can anyone comment on Gobble? They seem to have some really interesting menus.

I wasn't home when I posted before about the AmEx offers. Here are the two offers I see:

Hello Fresh
Spend $50 or more, get $15 back. Up to 2x

Sun Basket
Spend $70 or more, get $35 back

another vote for home chef! I thought their menus were better, more choice, and less prep. We also tried hello fresh, which I thought was horrible and canceled after two deliveries. Too much prep, and food was not fresh, meat not properly wrapped. Blue apron was fine, but I thought the choices were not as good as home chef, and there was way more prep than I anticipated! We are a family of three, and I ordered the meals for 4, and it was probably enough for two meals for all of us. Most of the time, a plan for two was enough for three of us.
