BLT waitlist came through 7 days out now what?

We had next weekend booked at the Beach Club with a waitlist for BLT since that is the only DVC on WDW property we have not stayed at. Looking forward to our stay and out of the snow. Just wondering if there is anything I should know or do at BLT. Going to try and watch the fireworks Friday from the Top of the World. Anything else?

IMO, walking back instead of waiting for a bus, monorail or ferny plus the views from the TOTWL are the best things about staying at BLT. Some would add a view of the castle from their room to the list (but we stayed in a standard view).

I agree. We had a standard view room last year and lucked out w/ a view of the park but the best thing was definitely the short walk. Even after a long day of touring the kids didn't mind walking back to the hotel because it was so close.

I love the walk back at night, but also love the quick walk in the morning, especially with very excited kids who can't wait to get there
