BLT vs BCV studio

My husband and I plan on traveling in early December 2012 and will have a 9-month old at the time. I am looking to rent a DVC studio because we will need a kitchenette/microwave for sterilizing bottles and storing food for the baby. We don't plan on doing any actual cooking.

We stayed at the Beach Club this past October and LOVED it, which is why BCV is at the top of our list. When I was looking at the pictures of the DVC studios it seemed like the microwaves at BLT were bigger, since that is what we would be utilizing the most, we put that at the top of our list.

Any thoughts on the ease of these studios with a 9-month old and the microwave sizes?

Also can you request a crib for studios at these resorts?

Thanks!

The BCV imo are in real need of an upgrade. They are not decorated the same as or too as high as standard as the regular BC rooms. They still have the old polyester bedspreads. I don't think that there is any difference in the size of the microwaves.

I would go with BLT as you will be on the monorail or a quick walk to the MK. Also they have the zero entry which is great for youngsters. We took or DD to BCV when she was 11 months and she found it really had to walk on the fake sand - it was almost impossible for her.

Don't forget that those staying at Bay Lake Tower also have access to the Contemporary pool and their kids splash play area.

Plus I personally think Stormalong Bay is very overated and their whole area is way to big, so it would be to much for a 9 month old to handle.

I'm pretty sure the microwaves are the same size. I did not love the theming of the BLT rooms (already looked worn), but the location can't be beat if you plan on spending most of your time in MK. . I do agree with the PP that the pool area at BLT may be more appropriate for your little one.

And yes, you can request a crib at both locations, I believe.

You can request a crib at either location but if you really want a crib over the pack n play that is the room you may want to rent one from offsite- they are never guarenteed and they are shared between the hotel portion and the DVC portion (DVC resorts do not have any of there own cribs).
