Please come visit the Top of the World Lounge! It is so beautiful, so nice, and the people are so wonderful. The drinks are great. The snacks are absolutely delicious. However, no one is going up there. Seriously. These folks put a lot of thought into designing this wonderful, exclusive place for us to watch the fireworks and just relax. But no one is coming to visit! We've gotten to know the folks there in the past couple of days and are talking with them alot. We just spoke with them and right now there are only 8 people in the lounge. They are open from 5-12. Please come visit. Please?

You must be a DVC member staying at BLT using points or cash reservation via DVC.

Thank you!

I'm not staying @ BLT until Nov. 29th but I certainly plan to visit the 16th floor then!

I'm sure that by the time I check in (Oct 14) the place will be mobbed every night. If not, see ya at cocktail hour! :cool1:

Wow, if no one is going up there, I wonder what they'd say about a DVC member from another resort? I can always hope, tho I don't think they'd say "Welcome".

Now that I am thinking of it, I hope on a future trip to stay at BLT on points, even just one night for a "no stress" fireworks viewing!!! So surprised this place isn't packed.:confused3 DoOverDreams, does the rest of BLT seem equally empty? I saw a pic of the pool with only two people in it, but I believe it was from earlier in the day. .

We check in Sept. 1 for my birthday week. Don't have ADRs for that night. How lucky! We are planning to "hang out" at TOW instead. Hope things have picked up so much by then that we have trouble getting in! sounds wonderful. wish we were there right now!

Don't forget that you can use the tables in wonderland card up there, discounts for food and drink. Woohoo.

There will be tonight I am sure... there were a nice amount of people there around 9pm on Tuesday night.... but remember also that there is a lot of the tower that is not sold...so the DVC members are not as plentiful as there will be when it is sold out.

I agree based on another thread, "What's in a BLT" only 48% of the points have been sold, therefore only that same percentage of rooms could be occupied by DVC members/guests, the rest would be cash.

Enjoy the lesser crowds while you can!

Well, we're a party of five checking in 1/3/10 and I know we'll be up there a few times..............

This is actually a great idea for an ongoing thread:thumbsup2

TOWL occupancy!:lmao: Those in the lounge could post real time occupancy and BLT point guests that DIS could check and know if it was worth the trip back or not.
Like you are in MK and someone posts that the lounge is empty so you plan to catch Wishes from TOWL instead of Mainstreet. :goodvibes

Im sure everyone does not want to give up their spot on Mainstreet to risk not being able to get in the lounge.:teacher:

Oh...we will be there many times during our stay from the 14-23rd... :)

This is great that it is not so crowded yet. We check in tomorrow and we were hoping to go up for the 2 nights we are there.

I can't wait!!!! We are at BWV now and we LOVE being DVC!!!!!!!!

We'll be in Sept 26 - Oct 3 and with 2 kids under 4 I'm sure I'll be there a lot watching the fireworks with the older ones as the younger ones sleep.:rotfl:

Favor, please? Could someone who is there now (or coming soon) ask if they will have the music piped in from "special" fireworks as well and post the info? Specifically, we will be there on Sept. 4, the first Halloween Party night, and would like to watch Hallowishes from TOW. (Not going to the party since we will be back for Halloween night with our college age kids). Thanks!:stitch::eeyore:

We will be there the same time as you, but we are going to the party. How nice it will be to be able to walk back home rather than waiting for a bus that late at night.

I would think they will be piping the "special" night music in, but I can't answer for sure.

From what I understand (talking to different CMs gives you different answers you know ;)) BLT is lightly booked for initial opening, just so all the different groups can get up to speed on the day-to-day operation of BLT. Which is a good thing! So far, there haven't been any major hose ups that I've seen. Everything is just wonderful. When I get back home from this trip I'll be writing all about it with pictures and details. We're just having too much fun now.

As far as special event music, all the folks I've spoken to so far don't know yet what they are going to be doing with that. Fingers crossed they do pipe in the music. Oh, and it's probably been posted already (I need to catch up on my reading) but they did hose up the first 2 nights with the Wishes soundtrack. They didn't have the music going at first so we missed the first 53 seconds of Wishes soundtrack. Yes, DH and I counted, isn't that sad? I don't know if they got it right last night. We decided to watch from our room finally. Heaven!!!!:cloud9:

We are checking in on 9/26 and staying until 10/4. We are definitely planning an evening of snacks and drinks for dinner at the TOW and then out to the viewing area for the fireworks. I am so looking forward to enjoying them without having to be in mobs of people! I love the fireworks and have watched from many places in the MK but this should be a unique experience.
