:flower3::flower3:We will be at BLT in May for a couple of nights then moving to BWV for the remaining of our reservations. Do we move everything ourselves or do they move it for us. I know a few years back before we joined the Vacation club they moved everything for us and we just went to the park and later checked into new resort. Thanks for any help you can give me.ne

Just bring your bags to BLT bell services tell them your next resort that you are going to, then when you check in at BWV, call BWV Bell services that you have checked in and they will deliver to your room. Allow 3-4 hours.

So, is this scenario correct? I check out of BLT at, say 8am (w/ my bags that I give to bell services) and tell them where to go next (BWV.) Then later, say 10:30p I head over to BWV (from being at the parks all day) and check in. And from my room, I call bell services and tell them 'we,re here' and 3-4 hours later, my bags arrive?

Well, you need to remember the tipping on both ends. We tend to tip better than usual when they are moving our luggage since it's handled more than usual. So add the tipping when you drop off at bell service at BLT and they will tag all of your bags with the resort they are going to and give you a receipt. Then when you get into your room at BWV you can call and have them delivered (and tip again). However, keep in mind your bags may not be at BWV yet, esp. if you get into your room early. So be prepared that you might not see your bags again until 5:00PM. We've done it and it works well.

When we have moved bell services has picked up the bags in our room. Is this not the case anymore?
We tipped on both sides of course.

We just moved from BLT to BCV last month-and the tip info above is correct. We checked out late am and left the bags as mentioned. But we took one carry on and took a bus to BCV and sure enough our room was ready (otherwise we would have simply checked it there). That way we had some stuff we wanted. Then headed to EPCOT unitl later that night. Bags were ready of course by then so they brought them right up.

We like to move actually, and being next MK for part of the time is great-as is by EPCOT/DHS the other half.

Thank you. I assumed about the tipping. So, if you followed what I wrote, would it still take '3-4' hours to get our bags? (after getting to BWV at 10:30pm?) I know we can't check out of BLT & immediately check onto BWV. I'm asking about checking out, being gone all day, then heading to the new resort after fireworks.

The point really is that your bags will most likely not arrive at resort #2 until later in the afternoon. You can actually check in there whenever you want, even if you room is not ready. We usually do that, then just head over to resort #2 when they send us the message that our room is ready. Then we call for the bags if they are there. He didn't mean 3-4 hours at 10:30 at night.

And to whoever asked, yes, they will still take your bags from your room if you call Bell Services from your room.

We just got back last night and we have done this a few times. When we were ready to leave BLT, we called bell services and they came to our room to pick up the luggage and tag it for BC. Then we left and went to MK.

When we got to BC around 5pm, I called bell services and they brought up the luggage in 10 minutes. It worked great.

We did this exact split this past fall - BLT to BWV. We called bell services at BLT and they came up to the room to get our bags. We told them we were moving to BWV and tipped of course. We had a 9:00 tee time that morning and got to BWV around 1:30PM. Our room was not ready but I had packed a bag with swim stuff so we headed over to the pool. We got a text around 3PM that our room was ready. Once in the room we called bell services and they brought our bags up. It worked out great and allowed is time near MK as well as EPCOT during F&W. We are planning the same thing for this fall with VWL to BCV assuming I can get my 7 month reservations.

The last time we moved we were at OKW and moved to the BCV. We went to bell service the night before and made arrangements for the move. They asked us what time to pick up the bags. We told them 9:00AM. Exactly 9:00AM they came to our room and tagged all of our bags and took them. We went over to the BCV later that morning and checked in. Sadly we did not get our room assignment for our 2 bedroom until 5:30PM, so our luggage was available when we called. We have always found that Murphy's Law always plays a roll when we are changing rooms and find ourselves without a room most of the day, which is why we don't like switching resorts and the last few times we did it was because we had no choice. We are more of a hunker down type of people and prefer to checkin, unpack and not pack again until checkout. Our trips are almost always 2 weeks long and we just love making ourselves at home in our room(s).

When I have moved from one resort to another, I have always been told not to expect my bags until past 2pm. And, I have yet to get my bags until past 5pm!!! Go figure. Now, when I move, I pack anything I might need for that afternoon in a backpack..just in case.

We have also handled this in the ways mentioned previously.

But I have really become to prefer just getting a taxi to move the luggage to the second resort. That way, we go ahead and check into the new resort and have our bags over (not having to wait until way past 5 pm in most cases) and by chance IF the room is ready at the second resort, we can actually go ahead and get our bags on up to the room. If the room is not ready, then we just check our bags at Bell Services and call for them when we return to the resort later.

Our swimsuits are in a separate bag in case the kids want to swim before the room is ready or after our trip to the parks.

Luggage delivery is not until after 3pm and as stated it can be much later.

Last time we did a split and one of the reasons we don't do them anymore, we did not get our luggage until after 6pm and we had dinner reservations. :headache:

The transfers between resorts takes that long. When we went from BWV to BLT, they told us the bags would be at the new resort around 3:00 pm that afternoon. We dropped them off at 8:00 am.

If you don't get to your room until late at night, they will be able to bring them up right away.

However, if you got to BWV early afternoon, say 2:00 pm, and your room is ready, your bags may or may not yet be there from BLT.

Hi - We plan to use this service. What is a reasonable amount to tip?
