BLT switching rooms

We are switching in August at BLT-4 nights 2 bedroom standard view followed by 2 nights 2 bedroom lake view. If I'm willing to take any view for all 6 nights, do you think we'd be able to keep the same room?

It's not worth the view to switch. We booked it this way due to availability.

If you haven't waitlisted for the nights you need to stay in the same view you should do so. That's the only way to guarantee staying in the same room. Your best bet will probably be to waitlist the 4 nights you have in a standard view for a lakeview.

Heck just WL for both.
4nights LV and 2nights SV.
And wait it out to see which one comes through first. Unless you have a strong preferrence over one or the other.

You can WL both but have a better chance with the LV as there's way more rooms.

thanks~ I added the W/L the 1st day. So far, no luck.
I keep thinking that if I was willing to keep the standard view for the last 2 nights, the hotel could give someone else my LV room. I guess I was hoping someone else had experienced this same situation with successful results.

standard rooms are the toughest to get.

so if you want all one type of room - definitely go with the lake view.

In our case we were put in a non-lake view by mistake the first night. they moved us the next day.

It's worth the move.

We were just at BLT the first week of April. We had 9 nights booked but the first night was booked in a lakeview and the remaining nights were in a standard view. We had to move after the first night.

What I find hard to believe is that we checked out of our lakeview room at 8am and our standard view room was ready - really? Why wasn't it ready the the night before? I called MS the day we left to see if the availability had changed so we could stay in the same room, but no luck.

I also had a waitlist for that day which I made many months ago. A week or two before we left, I called to check on the waitlist and was told they had my waitlist for a lakeview room, which I already had booked. Mistakes like this seem to get made more often than not, so check up on those waitlists.
