The only thing I would add is that those who are BLT owners (founding or otherwise!) as of March 1st will be able to start booking reservations on that day. They will have the exclusive right to book up to 11 months out from March 1st - 15th, at which point non-BLT owners will be allowed to book the normal 7 month window. This gives BLT owners a two week, "first dibs" on the opening months and coveted holiday season. Without this non-owners would have had equal ability to book September since it is within the 7 month window.

Would the consensus be that it is very likely that there will be a larger than avg. increase in the dues after the first year? I'm just not certain what is meant by the developer subsidy. Or by having a stated developer subsidy would that remove the yearly cap if DVC discovered that dues had been established too low per point?

I haven't been involved for another resort opening and am not certain what has occured in the past.

Thanks for the summary Doc. The Lounge sounds a lot like the "Attic" at the BWV. Don't get too used to it BLT owners. But it sounds really nice.

The developer subsidy for 2009 is only $0.05, so you can take that how you wish. Because of the higher point charts, the "cost" of the villas is already higher than at other resorts. I do not expect any larger-than-usual annual fee increases for BLT for that reason. Each resort has had a subsidy when it opened and some have even had subsidies later in their existence.

Thanks for the additional info. :thumbsup2 I just didn't know if the subsidy was more like 10%-15% rather than the 1.4%.

Thanks for the info! I will be calling on March 15 in hopes of getting 1 night in a studio on September 24th after our DCL cruise as a 40th Bday gift to myself! :lovestruc I know my chances are slim but its worth a shot - I might get lucky!!!

I have read that at the hotel there will be in room babysitting, does anyone have any more detailed info about this?

Also- The original post states that the first 1000 owners who buy 160 points or more are considered the founding members who get the tile. From what I have read since this thread was initiated, it was stated that only members who did an add-on contract were considered founding members. What is the actual criteria for getting the tile? Just curious...

Thanks!!
