BLT Studio for 3?

We've stayed in a studio and I think you'll be fine for your family of three. Many DVC members love the AKV value studios and the BLT studio is larger. The typical square footage of a Wilderness Lodge cash resort room is 344 square feet and a BLT studio is 329 sq. ft. That means the BLT studio is 18" shorter. The pullout couch is smaller than a queen since it's a double, but you still lose some space.

Absolutely! My DD is 6 - she has been perfectly fine with the pull-out sofa and we've never had any complaints about the room (although we'll be in a studio for 14 nights in December so we will be thoroughly testing that - LOL). ;)

According to the Allears website fact sheet the BLT studios are 300 square feet. According to wdwinfo.com on the Disney Magic and Wonder the cat 4 staterooms are 304 square feet and the cat 5 staterooms are 268 square feet. The cabins on the Magic and Wonder comfortably accomodate a family and so will the studios at BLT. Enjoy your stay. You have picked a wonderful resort with a great location.

I got my 329 sq. ft. figure from the original brochure the DVC provided us when we purchased our points. The Allears' figure is the lowest figure I've seen anywhere.

for me, i value the owners for their observations instead of non-
owners.

hey I am owner and agree the BLT are SMALL. with DCL they want you to be out spending money not in your room. So it makes more sense for them to be tiny.

compared to OKW studio it is alot smaller.

still love BLT and the studio is fine for me. Would I bring guests to BLT in a studio - no. they would have their own studio.

there is nothing wrong with admitting that the BLT studios are the smallest of all the DVC resorts.

as I have say - really think this was intentional to try to make members stay in a 1-bedroom and up.

the 1-bedroom is BIG. only OKW and AKV (Kidiani) have bigger 1-bedroom at WDW.

for a couple or solo traveler BLT are great. for more than that unless your family gets along a heck alot better than mind, there is just not enough room.

I understand that Disney wants to have you get out of your room on the Magic or Wonder, however, when you are at Disney World they want you to be experiencing the resort, the restaurants, the parks etc. When we are there we enjoy everything that Disney has to offer and are rarely in our room. That is why the BLT studios work for us. Each family has their own way of vacationing. I can't talk from anyone else's perspective but my family's but I know it works for us. My goal is to help give the person who originally posted the question some information that will help them make the best decision for their family.

For family .. a studio at BLT is definitely too tight for us (2 adults, 2 small children), we very much enjoy spaciousness. All personal preference ... if space to stretch your legs is important to you you are much better off at Poly, GF, or CR if you want to be somewhere on the Monorail line, or of course a 1bed at BLT if you have the points

how do facts change from an owner versus an nonowner.:confused3

When there is only a small amount of room between beds and walls and none between couch and window, that fact is not going to change regardless of who is sharing the observation.

Even the photos prove it.

BLT is a fantastic resort with a great location but the studios are smaller than the studios at other DVC resorts. Simply a fact. Same as stating that OKW has the largest one and two bedroom villas of any DVC resort, simply a fact or saying BLT has larger balconies than SSR.

As to whether there is room for 3, is a personal choice.

s.cat..very interesting observation that has the potential of being
true. however, from my observations i do not think disney "look"
@ things that way. yes, even though mickey has an affinity for
$, i think there's a limit.

oh, "wrong" isn't the same as being incorrect. i don't own blt,
just the points. what others think about the building is up to them.
however, in this case, i think if a studio holds 4, three should
be able to work it out. my message was only to encourage them
to try, not to dispute anyone else experiences.

* owners vs non-owners input. all i can quote from, is the trends
i have been reading here, where some observations have been
repeated over & over. especially those on blt. & since that's
where our points are, those point of views we are most interested
in because, we are still learning.

facts? facts can be manipulated or embellished so the meanings
of the story is no longer accurate. [ a good example, was coach on
the survivor, who passed a lie-detector about one his stories being
captured by some type of tribe. ] just because a few facts are true
does not mean the whole story is true or "meant" it was exactly the
way a person wanted another "to believe." we stayed in ak studio. i
don't doubt any one saying it has more room than blt. but we didn't
see any useful advantages compare to the value resorts we stayed in.
* but that doesn't mean we didn't have a wonderful time. watching
the animals is an experience i won't ever forget!

yes, that was just us, but i would suggest one "try out" each resort
before deciding. there may be other intangibles that "suit" your
needs better than size alone.

we have done all kinds of dcl cruises, and never given it a second
thought about the room measurements. instead we enter the room
& set up "shop". we have been upgraded and moved all around
the ship. i know many don't liked cat. 11 but it was so dark &
cozy.....remains my favorite room. [ of course, it was our first,
& we were right next to the hidden balcony on deck 7. ]

oh, human dynamics are sorta the "tools" needed where i work. we
are tested every day. but it does not mean i have extra "perks"
for doing so. also we are trying to figure out the inner workings of
dvc so we can get the most out of our vacations. no comments
are trying to judge-wrong /or right, or upstage &/ or upset any other
body posting here. ( *not here, but there are some on other posts,
could benefit from some interventions.) but if one ask me,
i understand "i am" far from prefect. therefore, my goal, is still working
toward progress. however, my wife is another story.[ anyone meeting
her, immediately like her as a friend. while i, seldom above the 50%
mark-:rolleyes1 .]

as for the op ? since 4 are allowed , three should fit & i can't imagine
any place better than looking out & seeing the castle. that is
the view we bought our points on, for our lil' girl to have.

We had four in a studio at BLT for a week this September. Three adults and one 8 year old. It was kind of tight but we managed to make everything fit. We needed to save points so a one bedroom or two studios was not an option. We tended not to spend a lot of time in the room. We were either at the parks or at the pool. Or the Top of the World Lounge.

BLT is definitely smaller than the other DVC studios we've stayed in. We love OKW because of the extra space. But if everyone has a good attitude, the lack of space doesn't prevent having a great trip.

If "elbow room" is important though you might want to consider two studios for a group of 4.
