Do you think it is big enough for 2 adults and 7 yr. old DD? We won't be in the room that much, so it probably will be good. Is it as big as the WL room with 2 queen beds (I know there is one queen and one sleeper sofa at BLT)?

I don't know, I've not stayed in a BLT studio, but I certainly would be willing to try it! Have fun, and then decide if you want to do it again!

We stayed there last month and felt it was too small for our family if three and our daughter is 2.5 years old. We stayed in an AK Kidani studio this past weekend and it seemed much bigger.

As to whether it's large enough is a personal choice, it would not be for me. For one thing the kitchenette and bath vanity in the same spot drives me crazy. So glad they are going to change that.

As to being as big as WL rooms, no its not, the sofa bed is right up against the curtains to the balcony. It's not so much total square footage of the rooms, there is simply no extra room between the walls and the furniture and even between the bed and sofa bed. Honestly if you rolled out of the bed on the sofa side you would fall into the sofa bed.

If you roll out of the sofa bed and the balcony doors are open you will be on the balcony.

They overcrowded these rooms to make the one and two bedrooms very spacious.

Notice in this photo the sofa is right up against the curtain. And the distance between the bed and sofa is the width of the phone. On the other side the width between the bed and the wall is the same as the I-Home clock/radio.

in the WL room you have a large nightstand that is wide enough for the phone, the alarm clock and still room to sit things. There literally is no room on these built ins at BLT for anything more than the phone.

think you will be okay - if you are only in the room for sleeping.

although the balcony really has more room than most studios.

i would not let others make up my mind on this.

we stayed @ ak studio room s/p member cruise. typical size room
except the bathroom was bigger. big deal. i don't see any
benefit with the bathroom being bigger except maybe the
mirror not fogging up as fast.

coping skills. we have done numerous dcl cruises. no room
is smaller than any dvc. but when one makes a few adjustments,
then it's no problem ...even for

also i read several reports slamming this or other resorts. sometimes
i have the impression that they are attention seekers. or trying
to increase their chances.

we are blt owners. we like it there!

We have stayed at SSR studio 2 adults and 2 kids (3 and 1) and it was fine. It is just like a hotel room. We spent most of the day in the park and didn't stay in the room that much.

I don't think anyone in this thread slammed anything. Fact is BLT studios are smaller than other DVC studios and smaller than deluxe rooms.

As I said in my comments, its personal as to whether that is a deal breaker.

For me it would be. Does not mean others will not stay there and love it.

The OP asked about size and facts were given. There was no slamming.

We are a family of 3 with two adults and a 5yo. We stayed in a BLT studio for two weeks and had plenty of room. This was right after a 3 night stay in an OKW studio. :goodvibes

This will be our first stay at BLT, and we'll be in a studio. We prefer studios for 2-3 of us because it means we can stay another 2-3 days. It was originally just going to be the wife and I, but months after the reservation was made DD decided she wanted to join us, much like she did last year when we were at Saratoga in a studio there. Our normal routine is to be up and at one of the parks when it opens, then get back to the room late at night near or after park closings and dinner. Therefore, we spend VERY little time in the room awake...maybe 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night at the most. And a good part of that is usually on the balcony or patio of the room. That being the case, we have little or no concern regarding the size, even when going with our 21yo DD. I suspect we'll be just fine.

So far, we have only stayed in a studio, and we have 2 adults and 2 kids who are 6 and 8. Of course there isn't a ton of room but it works for us!!

2 weeks at BLT - oh that is wonderfully. which view did you get?
did you feel crowded in the studio for that long of a trip?

:banana::worship::cool1::thumbsup2

I've stayed in BLT studio two separate times, 4 nights each time, with my wife and a 13-year old. We thought the room was fine, but--like the OP said--we didn't spend a lot of time in the room.:)

We're going to spend two nights in a BLT studio with 4 adults over NYE. Should be interesting, but we're good sports... :goodvibes

If you have enough to drink to celebrate the new year, maybe you won't even notice the other people in the room.

wondering if the slamming critic is a blt owner? there have been
others , where i have thought the poster are claiming something
to mislead others, too.

the way i see it, how many are permitted to stay @ the blt
studios...i think it's 4. so if the ? for three, then it is all about
personal space. that is, feeling cozy and/ or crowded.

i think there has been other threads of some trying to have more
than is allowed. here is just three, & i would suggest they give
blt a try & decide for themselves.

very interesting comment about dcl vs blt. does anyone have the
actual size of the rooms?

for me, i value the owners for their observations instead of non-
owners.

We stayed for 2 nights with 4 and it was doable. But, it was me, DS 21, DD 17 and DD 14.

In your case, I think you will be fine. If you fold up the couch during the day, it will be plenty roomy for the time you are in the room.
