We are checking in to BLT for two nights (studio, LV) August 7th and 8th. I know that the entire resort will be open, which would lead me to believe that all the rooms will be technically ready for occupancy.

I know that only a certain percentage of the rooms are "techinically" DVC declared rooms and that only that amount can be booked using points.

Does this mean that there is a chance that our room could be ready earlier? Or, will we only be put into a room that was DVC occupied the night before, even if there could be studios not declared into DVC available? For example, there are about 140 something studios (I believe). If only 30 of those were available for points, will they only use the same 30 for the DVC stays.

Hope this makes sense.

I thought that they could use whichever rooms they wanted as long as they didn't use more than were declared. I don't think the percentage of declared units would impact whether or not your room was ready earlier.

Thanks! I am sort of hoping that because the resort will only have been open 3 days, that maybe things will be ready a bit earlier than 4:00 pm.

50% DVC and 50% DVD, the rooms aren't kept separate. The number of room declared doesn't impact check in time.

Even if only 50% of the rooms have been declared into inventory and occupied by members, the other 50% are still available for cash bookings. Disney is known for upgrading cash guests when they have excess rooms available. People booked into CR Tower rooms could be upgraded to One or Two bedroom villas at BLT rather than let the rooms sit vacant.

So as the others said, I don't think the sales status of the resort will have any direct impact on the time you get into your room.
