BLT - Room request

We had some points in holding that we used to add on a day to our scheduled trip from 5/20-5/25/12. We have a 2 br at VWL for those dates. There was nothing available at VWL for the extra day Saturday-5/19/12 so we booked a 2 br Lake View at BLT (I know...poor us, huh? ) Any suggestions for what room location or floor to request? Also, how crowded is the DVC lounge at night during the fireworks? I've read that it is first come, first serve for admission...is it usually crowded? Any other suggestions to enjoy this brief stay will be appreciated. TIA.

if you just want to watch the fireworks you just stand outside, there is plenty of room. Have never been inside. We were on the 11th floor looking toward CR and beyond and enjoyed this view.

Some of the lake view rooms are inside the "C" so you might be across from another room.

TOTWL has never been busy and we have been there several times at different times of the year including Christmas.

Thanks to both of you. We will be arriving late so I doubt I'll get the room I request but it can't hurt to ask. We will definately visit the lounge and watch the fireworks. Any other suggestions for our stay will be appreciated.

We stayed in room 7802 which was a 2 BR lake view. It was on the 8th floor very last room in the north tower. We could go out onto the balcony & watch the fireworks from the MK, see the boats coming out in the morning, para-sailors, and the sunset over the MK.
It was also very quiet because you did not have anyone walking past your door.
We prefer the higher floors & the outer rim (even numbered rooms). The living areas is a bit bigger & given that we use both sofa & chair pull-outs the little extra floor space is nice.
As far as the lounge, the viewing area out on the deck could get crowded, but as soon as the fireworks are over it clears out. Inside the lounge is about the same. We have been there several times (last May & Dec) & there has always been more than enough room, never near occupancy.

We were there the beginning of March 2bdrm Lakeview. I requested north tower, high floor, even # room. Even though we ended up in the South Tower, odd number room (8505 12th fl) we loved the location. We were able to see Epcots FWs, Electrical Water parade, etc. We went up to TOTWL one night for a beer and the FW's and it was not crowded.

For us, BLT was a really nice resort with great views and easy access to MK...but had the worst housekeeping we have seen since we became members in 2002.
