Hi Everyone

It’s been a while and I am hoping for some input :)

We will be coming in next October 2025 for my 11 yr olds bday. Just the 2 of us

Wanting to try a new resort that I will booking through DVC. I was thinking of doing Beach Club but $$$$

I am mostly concerned about food and pool/ overall resort fun level and ambiance. She loves the pool and the movie nights! We are huge foodies and want great food

Skyliners don’t matter to me since I am too terrified to try them 🤣

Thank you in advance!

That elininates Riviera unless you'll have a car or are willing to pay for a car service to Studios and Epcot since the Skyliner is (as I believe) the only way to get to those parks from a Skyliner resort - nless it's down due to weather or mechanical.

I would vote Boardwalk. They do the movies on the lawn and the pool is much better than BLT and RIV.

RIV may have the upper hand in food on sight but you can scroll over and try the skyliner to head there or take a Minnie van.

Thank you both!

Oh I thought they had busses as well, if skyliner is the only option to EP and HS then Rivera is out. I really can’t do the skyliner (claustrophobic)

I would choose Beach Club over Boardwalk for Stormalong Bay. It's a much larger pool and has more of a party atmosphere. The Boardwalk feature pool isn't bad, but if you're looking for fun level and ambiance, Beach Club has the advantage.

Do you own DVC? Just the $$$ BC is on the lower end of the points BLT will be more unless you can get a standard view. RIV would be out for the skyliner either way. Pools it depends BW has a great slide easily the fastest on property BC has a lazy river if that is what you are looking for. EPCOT and HS will be walk or boat if you have park hoppers for everyday your food request should be solved with EPCOT. While not on your list overall the pool that has the slide that is the most fun is POLY this also solves the food request and no skyliner request. The POLY out of all you list by far has the best atmosphere. I will note October is very busy time for DVC the BW and BC are the hardest to get if you plan on renting you need to start a week before the 11 month mark so you can find an owner to make that reservation.

You guys are amazing! Thank you so much for all of this info

I am SO happy I mentioned the skyliner issue before booking bc I was leaning towards Riviera and that would’ve been an issue.

Since we will be going in oct and for the Halloween party maybe I should be looking at Poly. It’s a shame they don’t have smaller rooms since it’s only the 2 of us. It puts us a little higher than BC but may be worth it. We could also monorail hop to other great food options :)

BW is the cheapest and a great location so they definitely have that vantage point

I know BC it’s very hard to get, my aunt to has DVC has yet to stay there. I will be renting through David’s. I prob can’t go wrong with any of those 3 resorts

If you stay at BC or BWI you may want to consider Park Hoppers, nothing better than hopping into Epcot next door at night for a quick snack or supper.

I would do BWV. While I'm not a huge fan of the food there, the pool is a lot of fun. It is much better laid-out than SAB, IMHO as you can be on the pool deck and see and participate in everything without having to go over a maze of bridges. I also think the slide is better there. If you would rather be closer to MK, definitely consider Poly.

BLT can be very nice. You can walk to MK and take the Monorail to Epcot from the TTC. There are some good food options at the Contemporary and the other Monorail resorts.

Yes the food options at BLT and along the monorail resorts all look incredible

Good to know, thank you!

I think the new Poly tower is doing small rooms for 2 people like the riviera has. You could look into that as an option

@Shacka1 Yes @FSU Girl has a great suggestion of the new Duo Studio rooms in the Poly Island Tower DVC that sleeps 2 guests. The single Queen bed is a Murphy unit to opens over the couch.

Dave

Yeah. Like I said above, as long as they're willing to share a bed. Not all parents and children are.

Oh I forgot about that! As of right now it’s not showing on the dvc rental site as an option but hopefully in the future :)
