We're renting points from a member who we've rented from before, and he was able to secure us a 1 bedroom at BLT when the 7 month window opened last week. :cool1: I was looking at information on BLT and a have some questions.

1. If you've stayed in a 1 bedroom and have used a Pack-n-Play, where did you put it? We're a family of 4 and will all be sleeping in the bedroom (the kids go to bed early, so we need a place to hang while the kids are sleeping--a 1 bedroom works great for us), and I'm not sure where to put the Pack-n-Play for our youngest. We stayed in a 1 bedroom at VWL last year and put the Pack-n-Play in the walk-in closet (kept the door open) which worked well. I'm just not seeing where we can put it in the bedroom at BLT without moving some furniture around. I guess the bathroom area where the big tub is?

2. I know the BLT 1 bedroom have two bathrooms, but I assumed the second bathroom was a half bath. Looking at the floorplans, it looks like the smaller bathroom is a full bath with a tub/shower combination. Can anyone confirm? That's an unexpected surprise.

3. Remind me...do we have to request a Pack-n-Play, or is one available in all rooms? How about a high chair?

4. The BLT pool looks very child-friendly. How is the temperature (generally)? We were disappointed at how cool the VWL pool was last October.

5. Can you truly walk to the MK from BLT? Some people have told me it's not really a doable walk.

6. Is the Top of the World Lounge open to those stay on someone else's points, like us? There seems to be conflicting information online.

Sorry for all the questions...we're just very excited about our next trip!

1. The pnp can fit between the bed and the window. Or in the master bath, the room that has the sinks and tub.

2. 1-br 2nd bath is a full bath

3. Pnp is in the room! So is a high chair. It is a wood restaurant type high chair.

4. My kids (then 3 and 6) loved the pool. The 3 yr old even went down the water slide. She also loved the splash area, too. For me, the water was a little cool.

5. You can absolutely walk to MK from BLT. That is a huge perk of staying there with little ones. We timed it one day, took us less than 10 minutes from out the door at BLT to gate of MK.

6. We have been asked for our KTTW and our member card to get to TOWL.

I'm not sure how you would have all 4 people sleeping in the bedroom. There's a king sized bed in the bedroom, but the sofa bed that pulls out is in the living room. Regardless, there are plenty of spaces large enough to put a pack 'n' play, but the most logical and out of the way spot might be in the foyer where you walk in. There's also a little utility closet, but I think that might be a little cramped, plus your child is sharing a room with the laundry stuff, which is less than ideal for a host of different reasons. Worst case scenario, the master bath has ample room.

Yep, it's a full bath.

My recollection is that there's a pack 'n' play in the utility closet. Don't recall re the high chair, sorry.

We were there in January, and it was like bathwater. When you're there at a cooler time of year, the biggest problem you'll have will be getting out. :) Our DD3 LOVED the pool, btw!

5. Can you truly walk to the MK from BLT? Some people have told me it's not really a doable walk.

It's very doable, and it looks further than it is. 5-10 minutes, tops, and it's one of the primary benefits to staying there. Compared to the other walking you're doing, it's a drop in the bucket. It's basically the distance from Space Mountain to the front gate, plus a small parking lot. You can take the monorail, but it will probably take you longer when it's all said and done.

6. Is the Top of the World Lounge open to those stay on someone else's points, like us? There seems to be conflicting information online.

Technically, no. You'll hear stories of people getting up there anyway, but the answer to your question, per the rules, is no. TOTWL is for DVC members staying at BLT on points.

Have fun!

it's absolutely a do-able walk. You do have to cross a road that leads to cast parking. I remember having a discussion bordering on an argument about the road, as it is a two-lane road with a traffic signal, and the other poster considered it a "busy highway." It's a rather busy road, as cast members are using it all the time to get to and from their parking, but there is a crosswalk, traffic light and walk signal. You may want to keep a hand on any little children while waiting to cross though, make sure they don't run out before the walk light comes on.

According to the rules, access is for members only, not renters. At times they ask for the blue DVC membership card.

I think there would be room between the bed and the patio door - to the left of the bed in this picture. You just have to move a chair:
