I just spoke to my guide, and he openly offered the new incentives to me. I'm considering 250 points at BLT, but I might go up to 260 in order to get two contracts, one of 160 and one of 100. These would be both at BLT, but might offer more flexibility to me if I go to sell them in the future.

As for incentives, I was offered the following:
  • Honor March incentive of $5 per point and developer points
  • $8 per point & 4 person Cruise to be taken before Dec 2010
  • $8 per point & and additional $8 per point (as long as I get more than 200)
  • I asked about the Annual Passes on the Disney visa, and he said it was an either / or thing

I'll get 2009 use year points, but reservations have to be made for after August 4. My use year would be February, which works well for us as we tend to vacation in March...though with my kids entering school...this may change.

I thought about splitting my points up between BLT and AKV, but I get a longer life of the points at BLT and cheaper annual maintenance.

Now I need to talk to my better half, wait for my Disney Visa replacement cards to come before I buy in.

You may also consider 160 / 50 / 50 for your contracts for maximum future flexibility. Your UY sounds good I agree about the lower 'total cost of ownership' on BLT! Let us know how you make out.

Which option are you taking??

Also with the Disney Visa basically this means it is the last option INSTEAD of the Cruise or additional $ off. You still get the basic $8 off right? Also, did he mention a gift card with the Disney Visa or just annual passes?

Thanks!!!

The way it was explained to me, was if you take the annual pass you forego the additional $8 off, or aboutg $1800. I'll buy the passes :).

I did ask him to check into it further, since it was his first day in this month, he was loaded with new material.

I'm getting to know my DVC guide really well this week. I've been OK'd for the following:

3 contracts...

Contract 1: 160 point at BLT
--- with this I am getting $16/point incentive applied AFTER the 10% down payment.

Contract 2: Add on of 50 points @ BLT
--- Again saving $16/pt

Contract 3: 50 points @ BLT
--- Again saving $16/pt

I'm financing the initial 160 points, but paying for my additional 100 points. I'll also pay for the down payment on the Disney Visa (we'll see if I get the annual passes as well, but I doubt it). I'm also paying the closing costs up front.

Should finance around $200-$220 per month.

Haven't finalized anything, but that is what we are close to purchasing. As I was about to hit "post", my guide called. The 0% for 6mo on the Disney VISA is up to $2500.
