BLT Pull Out Chair

I do advocate moving the lamp in the BLT living room that blocks the picture window. It blocks the view and really opens the room up. We simply move it behind the pull out chair. It gives the person sleeping on the chair a little more room to maneuver around the chair when it is extended out into a bed.
Just put it back before you leave.
HTH.

:lmao::confused3Goosey 515 move the furniture all you want!! That's why we pay for the annual fee. Its your place - rearrange as you need! :woohoo:

I totally disagree with this selfish attitude.
The furniture is not intended to be moved. Please don't move it.

Agree with you on this one. I prefer not to have to pay more dues to cover damage because furniture is being moved around.

very poor response from those who don't own there. maybe
you should only stay in your own resort to give your words
some merit. [ ak]

as for moving the chair? are you saying if you damaged something,
we can trust that you will report & pay for it? [ i know many of the
workers reported abuses & the messes left behind.]

the other reply , made me think of entitlement. i guess it depends
how many points you have vs. others. do others pay more dues
when they have more points? [like you owning 50 vs. others over 300],
now if you paid dues the same as others, might encouraged restraint?
either way, i hope not to follow anyone showing so little respect,
home resort or not.

i think since this is so self evident, some posts were just to get
a "rise."

how many people go into someone home & moved their furniture?

since dvc is a "group" of home owners, means "others" are sharing.

problem solving means the furniture can be /should be secured to the floor.
[ sorta ironic , something that is std. practice on a mental-health ward ] .
i bet if those are caught disrespecting dvc property- outside their home
resort- would lose future "booking" rights would be an effective intervention.

little things are one thing, but to moved a heavy duty chair/sleeper
is over the top. [ i think the same people would turned around
and try to "sue" disney.]

First, I would not expect that the rooms I rent at my upscale Disney timeshare have the 'std practice on a mental health ward' as a guideline for my safety and comfort.

Second, the one time move of a sleep chair for the comfort and security of a 3 year old is not 'over the top'.

Third, It is a real stretch to suggest that the parent would then turn around and sue Disney.

What is wrong with you people???

(Not advocating moving furniture, damaging rooms, etc etc, but sometimes ya'll need to hold it in and NOT comment.)(Maybe that goes for me also.)

plez don't let the words "mental health" fool you. mental health
is as concrete as physical health. actually the 2 belong together.
fyi, whenever a person has a major change in behavior, one
should immediately rule out medical problem. in our world,
mental health isn't about acting crazy but enriching one's
experiences in life. every one has both, therefore everyone
will experience problems from time to time. [ the gaps between
what most think & what it really is....many high risks are
ignored until too late. ] this is argument for bringing back
the old "dick & jane" readers.

"close though", i erased what "all the moving" around reminded
me of. it was safety vs. money [ savings from damages].

"a stretch" ? i wish! thinking about those hurting their backs or
dropping heavy furniture on someone foot or a kid. then blaming
disney.

in one of the blt room we were in. some "guests" squeezed a
scooter in between the island & appliances . they then "hit"
the gas, resulting in dented stove, dishwasher, & fridge.
the wooden trimmed was removed , indicating they destroyed
it. the sleeper chair has a round cigarette burn. the workers
were amazed how hundreds of the bar stools have been
destroyed. while the light above the table still work, it
was bent beyond repair from someone "hanging/swinging"
on it. the stove had the biggest dent & the drawer no
longer fit under it. the parents let their kids took those
metal cars & ruin the table finish. they didn't stop there.
they then destroyed the space mt. picture.

we are blt owners with quite a few points. which means we pay
higher dues. the people who are doing these damages should not be
tolerated. and there are things disney can do to stop the vandalism.

now this isn't applying to this op. but anyone moving those heavy
chairs are @ risks for damages or worst, injuries. like the other
posters stated, the heavy furniture should not be move around.

Can anyone tell me what size the pull out chair is (Twin)? Are there sheets provided in the 1 BR or do you have to bring them?

As others have stated....linens are provided. It is a very comfortable bed!! :thumbsup2 We are here now (leaving tomorrow tho...:sad2:) and either DH or DS13 has slept on it a few nights. ;) Enjoy your stay!! :)

Please don't move the furniture. If you need a sleeping place for a child, bring an aerobed or rent a toddler bed.
