Wow! That is a great picture of the "thingy" on top.

Do you suppose it rotates?

BTW, what should we be calling the large metal ornament on top of the building? I know "Thingy" kind of bugs people, but I like it.

Although it is not finished yet and may look better after it is all cladded in, I find it looks out of place from the rest of the design.

My vote goes to "THE ZIT".

We are there now and it looks like the top will mimmick what the Contemporay now has with the California Grill. The thing at the top of the new tower does look like it could rotate.

I have heard that the thing on top will be a fireworks viewing area, they want to build it to keep people off the walkway that goes inbetween the A frame and that bldg.

Of course this is just rumor so take it for what it is worth.

That's what my DH pointed out. I thought it looked werid at first but now I think it will blend in.
