Just wondering if anyone has started a "pay it forward" goodie box for the new Bay Lake Tower?

Just wondering if anyone has started a "pay it forward" goodie box for the new Bay Lake Tower?

I wondered that too. we're going to be there in January and I found a non-resort specific bag but would be nice to have an easy transfer at BLT!

Awww... I thought this was gonna be a thread about sandwiches.

Ok explain the pay it forward goodie bag - I'll be there in November & this sounds fun!

We'll be there Sept 29th...I'm game to participate if we can get something rolling. Not sure what's involved, can someone give an overview?

POP has a Pay it forward thread. I copied this from theirs. Looks like just passing on things you think people could use or things you don't want to haul home. There is also a survival bag thread that I joined but it is not resort specific. That one looks nice because it has things like light-up toys, toy swords, craft activities. Things I frequently ending up buying for my kids but don't need after we get home. I started bringing light up toys with me so I didn't have to buy a new one everytime. I like the idea of the bag swap with these kinds of items in it. I'll find the info from that swap and copy to the next post.

POP swap info:

This will be a free grab bag type swap and you never know what you are going to get.

• Things you may find or could include: bandaids, dish soap, ponchos, toiletries, small childrens toys, water bottles, sealed snacks, really any small items you would like to PAY IT FORWARD.
• FOOD - must be sealed and labelled
• Dish Soap, etc and other non-food liquid items - please ensure they are in sealed Ziploc bags so they do not burst and damage other items.
• Tape a card or paper with the next participant’s information on the top of the box. PLEASE DO NOT WRITE THE NAME ON THE BOX.
• Please pack your own tape in case the tape goes missing. If you can leave it, great.
• Please reinforce, fix or replace the box as needed.

You will be responsible for exchanging information with the swappers before & after you. Please swap your full names, reservation #, check in/out dates, which resort (Riverside or French Quarter), allergy info (if any), cell # where you can be reached at WDW in case of any changes or problems.

You will put this info on the card you will tape on the box.

Here's the info from the other thread:

What's in the survival bag??
Light up toys
Beach toys - great if you're staying at Y&B club or going to a water park
Swords and wands
Construction paper, index cards, note pad, markers, crayons & clip boards - Kids love writing to thier favorite characters or drawing pictures. Or if you don't want to purchase an autograph book.
Lanyards - for pin trading and holding onto your Resort Key for Extra Magic Hours
3 guide books - a hidden mickey hunt book, Birnbaums pocket guide, and a general Orlando with Kids book.
Step stool for little tikes to reach the sink in your room
Ponchos for that lovely liquid sunshine we get so often... it help to bring it with you to the parks, doesn't help much in the room
Dish soaps and laundry soaps - with little kids who knows what you'll be needing to clean up. Especially if you decide to let them have a Mickey Ice Cream bar. Might not be a good idea to leave chocolate on a shirt for a week.
Bathroom needs - Toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, shampoos, conditioner, lotions. These are all travel size packages, so if you use them once, they're forever yours. Very helpful if you plan on going to the water parks or you don't like Disney Shampoo, can't say it's the best at getting chlorine out of your hair.
Sun block - It's Florida, do I need to say more?
Hand Santizers - I hope no one gets sick this year at Disney, there's plenty of it to keep all the germies away.

There is also a cooler. It's an Igloo 30 can size. Toss some ice in the morning and you've got yourself some nice cold water. Add a few wash clothes for keeping the back of your neck cool too.

Occasionally I will be swapping items out of the bag, like once it cools off, I'll take the squeeze breezes and beach toys out of the bag and put them away for later use. The cooler is in almost new condition, maybe a little dirty, but no damage to the actual cooler. The suitcase is a bit old, but in still pretty good condition, there's a small tear on the front bottom pocket, and the rubber casing around the wheel has fallen off (don't worry it still rolls). That's the only significant defects I can see, so please try to keep it in good condition, unless you have a rolling suitcase you could donate to this.

I don't think I would have much to put because I own an owner's locker and put all my stuff in there so it is there for our next trip. On the cruise they have a thing called fish extenders where you put little surprises for the families that are on the cruise with you. Some put candies, others dollar store Disney items. It was fun! I would love to pay it forward but I really don't think I would have stuff we don't need to leave for the next family.
