Ok, sorry this is taking so long to complete. Work, life, and another trip to WDW has been keeping me sidetracked. I haven't even started the real report yet! One more day of pre-BLT, then onto the real thing.
///////
After the fireworks cruise we walked back through the lobby at the Contemporary. We stopped by once again to see what time we could officially check in. Hoping to get a different answer! Told 6:00 am again. Darn!
We decided to walk back over to BLT to check things out at night and do a little more snooping. One thing that I noticed, and that would probably bother me, is that the ground level rooms on the outside of the C on the Contemporary side are pretty much wide open to look in the windows. Please remember, if you are in one of those rooms to keep your curtains completely closed if you want privacy! Otherwise you will be on stage for all who are walking past. It was nice to see the interiors so clearly at night though. Gave us a bit of a taste of what was to come.
We really wanted to see the pool area but there were barriers (kinda like traffic cones) on the sidewalk leading to the back. However, we saw a lot of people walking past the barriers to go into the back. We had one of those well everyone else is doing it moments, and wouldnt you know we got caught? We met Wilma, the dynamo on the Segway! It was wonderful to meet her. She introduced herself, shook our hands, and let us know that we met our first manager at BLT. Ive got no idea in what capacity she is a manager but Disney/DVC did a great job appointing her to the position. You could see and hear the excitement she has for the opening of BLT.
We ran into Wilma a couple of times during our trip. I wish we would have gotten a picture of her zooming around on her Segway. She was so very nice and as she gently escorted us from the back area she kept up a running monologue of BLT. She shook our hands again and said good night. Wonderful to meet you Wilma!
After meeting Wilma we decided it was time to call it a night. We walked back to the Contemporay. I think we stopped at the front desk again to see if they would budge on check-in time, but no luck.
We decided to head to bed since we needed to get up early so we could go check in at 6:00. Woohoo, almost there!
