Just scored 3 nights at BLT never been so have some questions. Can you just come up for fireworks! What time? Can you hear the music?

You go down to the lobby and they will send you up to the Top of the World. You must be staying on points, so you will need you DVC card and room key (or just our room key if the guest of a member).

I would go up at least a half hour before. The lounge is neat and the food isn't bad either. There is a large outdoor viewing area and they do pipe in the music.

You will need to "check-in" at the lobby first. The CM will escort you to the elevator and use a special key to enable to elevator to go to the lounge. One night we met her as we were getting out of the elevator so she just told us to get back in and used the key then.

And yes you can hear the music - it is played inside the lounge and also on the balcony. If you are paying close attention you can actually see Tinkerbell "fly to the castle". I missed it the first night we were up there.

The balcony wall is HIGH so no worry about falling. But if you have little ones you may want to hold them.

Enjoy!!! If you have little ones the BEST thing about watching them is that when the show is over you can usher them right down to the room and put them to bed. NO fighting with the crowds.

If you're only going up there to watch the fireworks (not eating or drinking in the lounge), I would go up about 15 minutes before. I've been up there several times for fireworks and it has never been crowded. You should have no problem getting a spot along the wall.

Staying on points and/or a cash reservation made through Member Services gets you access to lounge.

Enjoy :goodvibes

I'm waitlisted for a LV studio for the first 2 nights of my Birthday trip in October. My DSiL is coming with me and it will be her first trip ever to WDW. If the waitlist comes through, I'm hoping to go to the TOTWL on our arrival night. What a great way to introduce someone to WDW!

So they do allow children up there to watch the fireworks? We have a DD who will be 14 months old when we go.:cutie:

Great information! We are staying there in October and will definitely be taking advantage of this!

Tinkerbell flies to the castle? Is she lit up? I usually get to the castle at least an hour before Wishes and never saw it.

We loved watching the fireworks from there. You can also see the Water Pagent on the otherside if you go outside behind the bar. We are going in a few weeks and plan on bringing our whole family up there if the DGC stay awake. If not we will take turns staying in the room with the sleeping babies so everyone gets a turn for a drink and a view. Yes Tinkerbell flies from the castle at the start of the fireworks show and we saw how it works and where she ends up behind the scenes when we took the tour a few years ago. If I remember it correctly she is on the right side of the castle as you face it and she is definately sparkles.
