I have stayed twice at BLT lakeview. First time was me, DH, and two of our kids who were 16 and 13 in a 1 BR, We were "inside the C" and higher up. It was cool to be up there, but not cool to look at other people's rooms unless we sat sideways.
Next time it was me and DH in a studio as we visited our CP daughter. That time I asked for "outside the C" and upper floor, and got a good view of the marina.
We have BLT 1BR lakeview booked in March for us, my oldest, my son in law and my 2 year old grandson. I have not made any requests. I am leaning toward "outside the C" again and closer to elevators since he will be in a stroller, and my daughter will be 6 1/2 months pregnant. I am thinking we will have some time in the room with naps for daughter and grandson! Should I still ask for a higher floor, and would that be more important than the elevators?

I'd stay away from the elevators. In general, the loudest part of any given floor is near the elevators.

We have a Feb trip coming in a LV 1BR, prefer the south side, outside so I’m requesting highest floor, highest even number.

BLT is my home resort and, personally, I have never put a premium on being close to the elevators. Being a tower and not a sprawling resort, it is not a long walk to the elevator. Some like requesting 5th floor for direct access to the Skyway walkway and the Contemporary. My preference is for a higher floor, the higher the better.

I do not consider a close to elevators request a necessity at BLT because none of the rooms are very far from an elevator (the distance to an elevator is never really more than the length of three 2BRs, see room maps here, where the elevators are at the gray shafts shown in the picture,

However, I do consider higher floor a necessity which should be the lead request. I personally do not mind being inside or outside the C but highly prefer higher floor (at least 8th floor or above) views.

I also wouldn't consider close to the elevators a necessity. And there's 2 banks of elevators so it may not assist with walking distance depending on where you're going. But BLT does not have long hallways.

IMG_0047.JPG We just spent a week at BLT in a lake view studio. When w echecked in the CM said we could have a room immediately if we were okay with 3rd floor overlooking marina and CR. Otherwise we would have to wait for a high floor. We accepted and the room was GLORIOUS. High floor totes overrated IMO. We loved the room. I could have sat out there all week long. So don't worry about high floor. For us, the floor was an easy ride to the bridge or to the parking lot in the elevator.
